  • 534 doing the Lakeside organics route. This truck was featured on RUclips a few years ago doing manual greens in Poway. EDCO installed the cart tippers and now it's assigned to an organics route.
    Thanks to the driver!

Interesting sound on this one... not complaining tho, pretty sweet looking truck with a nice roar on dump cycles. Glad you were able to follow this guy around for a while!

Thats cool sending out an FL for these carts. I honestly wonder what the rationale is for mandatory compost? Air quality? This ordinance has put countless fuel burning trucks on the road so i wonder if it is actually helping? Do they have a way to track their emissions? Just a thought. Great shots!

Thanks Andres! Mandatory compost basically boils down to politics imo. Yes, it should be mandatory for certain generators like supermarkets, major restaurants and hotels, but your average 7Elevens, liquor stores, banks and auto supply stores just don't produce enough to justify having a green cart and having a truck show up every week. I'm sure all the plastic that went into making the thousands of green carts that are now lost or stolen just in San Diego have a net negative impact on the environment lol. I'm sure haulers, counties and CARB have a way to track their emissions but that's beyond me.
