But for me she is a very interesting character especially in this case: She is actually the heir for the Brigids crown and her people will expect her to bear a new successor to the throne in her future marriage. So she needs a male fellow on her side to satisfy those deeds. Also this is why she will never go on lightly on female compassions for this, so fByleth was out of her league. But Dorothea was as lovely and charming and actually drawn to her Petra couldn't actually resist her. For Dorothea and for Dorothea only she changed the rules of Brigid and started a new Reign with her girlfriend and later wife on the side.
The Petra dynamic to me comes off as her being attracted to nearly everyone, but not expressing this particularly well, leading her to only end up in relationships with people willing to assume she's interested in them, or people vulnerable enough to motivate her to express it. Therefore, most Petra ships are inarguably motivated by a love of emotional blundering and humorous situations arising due to lack of communication, with Petra x Ignatz instead being motivated by a fetish for wildwomen smelling weakness, isolating, and then dragging off helpless nerds to repopulate their tribe.

Alcachofilla Podrida alright, what this ship is about is actually Bernadetta‘s fear towards Hubert. Hubert, taking joy in the fear Bernadetta has towards him, obviously wants more of it, but in order for it to be not one sided, he decides to give back to her with gifts trying to show her that she can trust him, while at the same time still keeping the fear factor, over time, trusting him more and more, they grow a relationship. This is my explanation of it, however I really am no expert so I suggest doing some research of your own, hope this still helps though.
Its more that bernie sees him the way you are tempted to see him at first : pure evil at its scariest. Their relationship shows that actually, hubert isnt really mean, and while he definately enjoys teasing people afraid of him and for sure is ready to use all means to achieve his goals, he shows care for her, and genuinely tries to make her more comfortable. On a side note, i firmly believe hubert accentuates how scary he looks and sounds purely to use it to his advantage in his plans. Anyway, a lot of supports are about seeing past appearences and seeing the best in each of the characters. This one does it well. Its not the best at it tho. Sylvain/mercedes, edelgard/anyone, ferdinand/dorothea, byleth/rhea, and many more do it even better. And franckly, i think Golden dear is definately lacking in terms of how much there is to discover about each character that isnt obvious from the first minutes. Tho a few have a lot to offer (lysithea for example). But imao both black eagles and blue lions are much richer in that département.

I agree on everything. Edelgard/Hubert and Dimitri/Dedue both also represent the inherent appeal of shipping prince (or princess)/knight (or retainer). Royalty/knight is a tale as old as time in fiction. Ingrid/Ashe is definitely "opposites attract is overrated" because they both want the same things in terms of becoming a knight as their dream, something they only accomplish together on AM.

I also like the Golden Deer, as the "end racism" house, to be the house most likely to ship across borders/houses. Linhardt/Lysithea is a great one, too. Alcachofilla Podrida alright, what this ship is about is actually Bernadetta‘s fear towards Hubert. Hubert, taking joy in the fear Bernadetta has towards him, obviously wants more of it, but in order for it to be not one sided, he decides to give back to her with gifts trying to show her that she can trust him, while at the same time still keeping the fear factor, over time, trusting him more and more, they grow a relationship.
This is my explanation of it, however I really am no expert so I suggest doing some research of your own, hope this still helps though.
Its more that bernie sees him the way you are tempted to see him at first : pure evil at its scariest. Their relationship shows that actually, hubert isnt really mean, and while he definately enjoys teasing people afraid of him and for sure is ready to use all means to achieve his goals, he shows care for her, and genuinely tries to make her more comfortable. On a side note, i firmly believe hubert accentuates how scary he looks and sounds purely to use it to his advantage in his plans. Anyway, a lot of supports are about seeing past appearences and seeing the best in each of the characters. This one does it well. Its not the best at it tho. Sylvain/mercedes, edelgard/anyone, ferdinand/dorothea, byleth/rhea, and many more do it even better. And franckly, i think Golden dear is definately lacking in terms of how much there is to discover about each character that isnt obvious from the first minutes. Tho a few have a lot to offer (lysithea for example). But imao both black eagles and blue lions are much richer in that département.

Bernie tries to work through her fears, and winds up actually developing affection for Hubert, who (as Petra and Shamir would tell you) is too dense to notice. It's opposites attract, with Bernie taking the lead.

I agree on everything. Edelgard/Hubert and Dimitri/Dedue both also represent the inherent appeal of shipping prince (or princess)/knight (or retainer). Royalty/knight is a tale as old as time in fiction.
Ingrid/Ashe is definitely "opposites attract is overrated" because they both want the same things in terms of becoming a knight as their dream, something they only accomplish together on AM.

This video is great but you probably could have shown multiple ships for each topic, just to include more. For example "gals being pals" works pretty well for Dorothea/Petra, Mercedes/Annette, and Hilda/Marianne. So using all 3 ships for that category would have been cool too. And more ships included! Everybody wins!
Also, I feel bad for male Byleth because his ship dynamics are slightly different than with female Byleth. For example, male Byleth/any Lord is highly different from female Byleth/any Lord. Best Byleth needs more love.
