I’m definitely one that is only considering cars with phone digital key support in his next vehicle. The key fobs keep getting bigger and I don’t want to carry keys anymore. And the digital key still works if your phone battery is completely depleted by the way. Unfortunately, most manufacturers have spotty digital key support. BMW/Mini seem like one of the few to have comprehensive NFC/UWB digital key support now
i'm in the process of possibly buying one. Love the look of the one your driving. Is that smokey green? I just hate that to get that look with the gold roof, i would have to choose the vescin dark petrol interior and I just don't like it. I much prefer the blue black interior.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing this vehicle here and when I drive 9&3 on the steering wheel or 10&2 I drive a manual gearbox so I usually use 9&3 ciao
Is this statement based on the early 2000's? I had a 2020 & 2022 Countryman with zero issues, both great cars, still enjoying my 2022. Also Consumer Reports top rated.
the good news is the 2023 SE will be cheaper and soooo much more fun and overall better. This interior is the same for the new Mini Cooper 2 door SE…The interior is so bad on this new one now….love that the screen covers the entire circle now, but now looks like someone just glued it onto the dashboard…and a mini MUST have the switches!!!!! I’ll be shopping a 2023 Mini Cooper SE….I don’t need over 200 miles of range so it’ll suit me just fine.
As a long time MINI lover and driver I bought a KIA ev6. Just don’t like the road MINI is going. Don’t like the looks anymore. It’s more like a ‘funny’ BMW than a MINI. And if I wanted to drive a BMW I would’ve bought one. Just……."nope.
Better off getting the gas version. 260 range is not enough. I have a x1 and just went on a road trip and after driving 200 miles, the trip computer said i had well over 300 more miles of range. Evs still have a long way to go.
They need to get rid of that circular screen / speedometer. I get they want it to be a Mini and that’s a staple feature. But it’s just so pointless and not very user friendly.
BMW kinda stops at X1, anything smaller than X1 are the MINIs. The biggest MINI is the countryman, which is based on the X1 but ever so slightly shorter. On the other end, BMW capped at 7 series, which is where RR floors or used to floor.
To spec an X1 to the a Mini's in UK, it'll cost you an extra £15k. My thoughts are front wheel drive is great with Mini but the rear wheel drives shift to into BMW.
Its made for the tic-toc generation lots pf bells and whistles...,,that big round screen has been a feature for decades There's a Mini dealership around the corner I can't wait to see them arrive.
This is not a Mini. Disappointing. All focus is on bells and whistles, not the fun driving experience. Why not just slap a BMW "thing" plate on it. Even Lyn doesn't sound thrilled reviewing the vehicle. Once again, too much customer analysis and over engineered. I won't be buying, at least this year.
Love how you complain about how the seat is hard and then in the same breath say it can be adjusted and was likely set to the previous driver.... so then it ISNT a negative then is it???? Terrible car journalist... smh next.
Excellent video Lyn!😸
It's gonna be pain in the ass to clean that "cloth" dashboard
Those interior door panels look like a playground's rubber flooring lol
i agree. I don't like the fade to blue and brown. Looks very 80's or 90's

and you forgot the standard seat massage!
Great little vehicle!
Is this available in the US?
3:18 OMG that sound is so cool 😎
NACS in U.S.?

Great car! The one in the video is Slate Blue.
Mini becoming Maxi.
As a mini it's huge, for a crossover this is a fun alternative.

Any word on 0-60 times for both models?
Is the mini clubman pretty much dead or are they still making those
Deadge
Check out the MINI Aceman
Is this Smokey Green or Metallic?
Will this model (unlike all other Minis) last for more than 12 months before falling apart? Thats continuous improvement if yes

Have you ever owned a Mini? My guess is not…

No longer a "MINI"😅

orrr… make it an optional feature - circle or regular rectangular tablet.
I too wish it didn’t have the circle screen.
Kinda dumb to put all of that info on one screen they could've added an instrument like most cars. I have a feeling Mini is going to change this
I am all for variety, but I am not sure why the MINI brand exists. Funky for funky's sake.

Why would someone buy this over the bmw X1?
There is no electric X1
Aesthetics
It’s called taste

I’m surprised this doesn’t come with a panoramic sunroof. I’m surprised that wasn’t even mentioned! No, thanks!
The panoramic sunroof is an option; there is no need to panic.
A mini Kia Telluride 😊
ARGH I'm 55 years old
THIS IS NOT A MINI...
It's a BMW........
I'm in my 60's. These people have ruined the Mini and now they're saying, "Gee I don't know, this seems kind of goofy to me".
Have you just noticed after 23 years?
Its OUTSTANDING !

Flop
That interior screams goofy to me.
Soon as you say
I’m driving the all electric version I stopped watching BYE
