It's funny to think the Minecraft war arc almost happened between them in the past (cause Moona lol).
But Pekora was to afraid to make Aqua angry and Aqua was busy to play MC so it never happened.
They known each other since their past lives, but it's sadder to see how they finally reconnect again in Hololive after 4+ years, only to part ways once again, not knowing when their path will intertwine again.

It's bittersweet to see the person Pekora's been giving the cold shoulder to for 5 years was also the one who finally played Cuphead with her. It's like a sad movie where two kids who could never possibly be friends don't realize they're going to end up connecting years later right before one of them dies. Not that graduating is dying, but for introverted shut-ins whose identity is owned by a corporation, it might as well be. Pekora's such a loner but she's also extremely sentimental, so she falls apart whenever somebody leaves and regrets not spending more time with them. But she didn't change after Coco, so she probably won't change after this, either.

Pekora outright stated to only starting to consider Marine a friend about 2 years ago for reference

She literally the only Gen 3 that was join the Usada Const.
Rushia may be not a good girl, but Pekora interaction with Marine and Rushia was clear as day back then.
As a note, Pekora always called Rushia "Ru-chan", while other Gen 3 as their normal name.
That's not right at all, for the first ex-talent Coco, they're just playing Minecraft together and it's not even that long. No, Pekora is not even that close to Coco to be considered close friends.
Gen 3 while friendly and often hanging out together, they're just colleague. Don't think just because they're from the same Gen will makes them best friend. In fact, in Gen 3 Pekora used to be a loner, while Flare is on good terms with Noel, and Marine stalking Rushia all day. So if there's anyone that's close to Pekora in Gen 3 then it's only Marine.
If you follow Pekora frequently, after the Rushia termination, Pekora also stated that she's not keeping contract with Rushia at all. They're not even having each other phone numbers.
Aqua is well, I'm not even know if they can be considered close friends. As they're only start hanging out this year, but their chemistry is really good and it's such a shame that it ended so soon...

Not sure if Pekora designed it that way, or if its just luck, but Aqua exploding the tower at the end, and the Hololive symbol remains intact was some crazy symbolism. In hard times, it can feel devastating, and at some point all the girls will one day graduate, but the memories will live on.

recently i'm behind on watching my oshi streams but while watching this part its make me cry and realize that our favorite Vtuber can graduate anytime either they want or be terminated and we cant do anything about it, thats why ill watch all Pekora stream from now on.
It's clear that Pekora but a lot of time and effort into this sendoff gift, such a hardworking and diligent person underneath the comedian, Aqua could truly have no finer and faithful friend 😢

There was A LOT of tears in chat during this moment. Damn, it still makes me emotional.
I'm not at all an emotional person, but something about this just made me absolutely bawl. Though, I can be comforted in knowing that they will be keeping contact with each other.
Of course Pekora had to end it with a prank. That being said, I am so used to hearing pekora laughing and being mischievous that hearing Pekora and Aqua crying brought tears to my eyes. And this was really sweet of Pekora to do. And Pekora might be the last person that she interacted with before she left, it’s bittersweet. We may have gotten much of it, but what we did get was absolutely unforgettable. Ands it’s comforting to know that these two will still get together after graduating. AkuPeko really is eternal.

You can tell just how close they became. Pekora wanted to be supportive of Aqua’s decision, but when it came time to give Aqua her gift, she couldn’t help but show her true feelings. It was hard hearing her beg Aqua not to flip the switch.
I know it isn’t the end of their friendship, though. Their true emotions made it clear that their connections runs deeper than Hololive, and they will be friends for a long time to come. That makes me happy.
