In my case, after "the pencil" shows up and I left-click to place the dimension lines nothing happens. What can be the problem?

Please note that after clicking on the OK button on the Automatic Dimension dialog, you'll experience three things. When your cursor is outside of the wall you'll see a '+' symbol, on the wall you'll see a mercedes symbol, and inside the wall it's a pencil. Hover your cursor on the wall until the cursor turns into mercedes symbol and left click on the wall then move your cursor outside of the wall (if you move it inside, you'll see that pencil again, on the wall you'll see a mercedes) you'll see a hammer symbol and point at the spot where you want to position your dimensions

On the manual dimension, I hit the last corner of the slab after tabing and then how do I close the command (stop being prompted to add more points) and place the dimension where I want it without having to right click and "ok"? Thank you?

Why these software don't take from Rhino, AutoCAD or similar. Why they have to be so stupidly complicated for the simplest things?
