I love everything you put up with Kevin McGarry in it. He is an absolute pleasure to watch. So talented & handsome. I watch everything over & over again. He became my lockdown binge. And here in New Zealand we weren't in lockdown very long so he has now become my go to binge whenever I want! Thanks Susan ...keep up the great work & keep putting up videos with Kevin in them ... please :-)

The writers of WCTH better give him someone worthy to receive all that adorable ness without the sense he’s “settling” soft someone other than Elizabeth. The new SHE doesn’t deserve feeling like second best. Nor does he.
I won’t be watching because I don’t expect them to be any better to him than they were in S8. And add to that, now he’s a secondary character. Any show that is that blind doesn’t deserve my time.

He is NOT a secondary character, he’s a leading man and deserves to have that sort of script and part. But what I intend and what actually happens aren’t ALWAYS the same. Still, I suspect the show has shot itself in the foot and I don’t expect there will be another season. But hey! That’s just me.
Agree that this will be their last season. By all polls, those who wanted her with Nathan were around 70%. Why they chose to go against such a large portion of their viewers will always be a mystery, but at least it means that Kevin will be freed up to do other work with people who appreciate him ❤️ And part of the reason I and so many other are refusing to watch is to send a message, via ratings, about how we feel. My sense is that the powers that be believe fans won't be able to resist. That has been Brian Bird's belief all along. That fans would blindly follow Elizabeth to whichever suitor she chose. What he failed to realize is that Elizabeth was no longer the star of the show. That place had been taken by Nathan and Allie. 🥰
Same, girl, same 😂 But I've started to see her through Mitch's eyes, and she has a good heart and a sweet nature when she's not second-guessing herself and losing sight of what's important. Actually, she's harder on herself than anyone else. And she doesn't trust her instincts, though they're usually good. Mitch sees all that and still loves her completely. 🥰
Well Susan, you brought me to tears yet again! It's been such a journey for these two and I want with all my heart for them to have a happy ending. You chose such a perfect song to narrate their story! Seeing it as chapters is the perfect comparison and the music is so moving too. You chose perfect scenes to go with the lyrics. I was just watching this for the umpteenth time but with headphones on and I was wondering if Kevin's ever played and sung this. I have to say that it sounds like a perfect song for him! There's mainly guitar accompaniment and it's right in his range. It also plays to his ability to make you feel emotion through his singing. Sure wish I could make that happen!
It would be great with his voice. I haven't seen anywhere that Kevin has recorded this, even on his IG account, where he will sometimes put songs he plays on his guitar. The song is actually from Heartland, written and sung by Michael Logen, who has done a number of songs they've used in the show ❤️
As usual, I was watching this video (my daily routine!) and noticing how many views it has. What a great testament, not only to your creativity, Susan, but also to your insight into this relationship. Kudos again! I just can't get enough of it!

This song comes from one of my favorite scenes of Mitch and Lou's (S12:E11). She's waiting in the field after they meet in the church when he's called off his wedding. As she says "Don't you think we've waited long enough?" the guitar starts, and when she kisses him, the lyrics "we were laughing so we wouldn't cry..." Gets me every time. ❤️ Michael Logen, who wrote it and sings it, has written a number of songs from the show. He also does "Already Home" that's played over the skating sequences when Mitch makes the rink for Katie's birthday -- another of my favorites.

I love how the camera zeroes in on Jack as he surveys his family having so much fun and being together. He's the soul of the family IMO, and I wish we'd see more of he and Mitch together because I've always felt that Mitch could be the son Jack always wished he had. They have similar values when it comes to family and although Jack doesn't like to butt in and try to influence the girls when it comes to their love lives, I truly believe he'd prefer to see Lou with Mitch rather than back with Peter. Here's hoping they find a way to make it all come true! I'm also going to have to try to listen to Michael Logen's whole album because he sure does write beautiful music that captures the very heart of emotion from the show.
