The pace of phonk as a genre is too fast for the pace of After Dark (Chill synthwave in general) in particular. That being said, there are exceptions to that rule. Here in particular the EXCEPTION to that rule in this rendition of the song, is the chorus. *You definitely nailed that.* Just gotta build the rest of the song around that imo.
This is the only song with bareble lyrics in fact this is the only song that needs lyrics most phonk music dont and yet they have this gibberish speaking in the middle it really ruins the experience here in the other hand you'd want lyrics without the epic chorus this wouldn't be as good
