    I am noticing some pellets are actually accumulating inside my saw dust box, what would be causing that and how would I repair it? Thanks

    • @EarthSense
      @EarthSense  Год назад

      Thanks for the message. For pellets to be inside the sawdust cleanout box they would have to be getting under the slide plate. Suggested to inspect the slide plate, make sure it's installed with the ridge side up. Check the pusher arm and position as well. For the feed system, do you have a chain drive Harman or direct drive (no chain)? Let us know some further specifics on your model and feed system - happy to help.

    Thank you for the great video! I have been trying to figure out why my P68 is making an intermittent squealing sound right before the auger makes a full rotation. I noticed that the fines in the fine box have not been accumulating much, would it be possible the slide plate is jammed and the fines are making their way into the feeder and being pushed or jammed inside the auger tube?

    • @EarthSense
      @EarthSense  Год назад +1

      Thanks for contacting us. In most cases this would be an issue with the bearing that is apart of the auger shaft. Overtime when under load there is a tendency to hear an intermittent squeal. I would suggest checking the sawdust cleanout area and pulling out the slide plate. See if there are any heavy markings on the plate or any foreign objects/sawdust accumulation in that area.
      For the auger shaft bearing some folks have used a graphene lubricant on that and have had success in stopping the noise. In most cases though the auger shaft needs replacement. There are two different styles of auger shafts depending on how old your P68 is. If you know the manufacturer date or serial number we can guide you to the correct one if you do end up needing replacement. Here is a video on pulling out the auger shaft should you need it.

      That's amazing John! Shows that you also burn good quality pellet fuel. Higher moisture content pellets will break apart easier in the feed chamber leaving more fines behind. Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks for the comment here, anwsers my question on the feed system. 2016 Harman P43 would be a direct drive feed system. Let's double check the slide plate position and movement when it's on the pusher arm. Keep us posted. Thanks!

    Hello, I have the Harman 52i-TC insert and would like to know if the fines box is in the same location as it is in this video. Thanks

    • @EarthSense
      @EarthSense  2 года назад

      Thanks for the message. Yes, the sawdust cleanout box in the 52i-TC is in the same general location - it will be a smaller cleanout door then the one in the video. It's a bit more difficult to access because of the combustion blower orientation as it is behind the exhaust passage. A good light and crevice tool on your vacuum will be key tools as you clean this area out. Any other questions please let us know. Thanks!

      @@EarthSense thanks! Is there anything else I should do while it’s out?

    • @EarthSense
      @EarthSense  2 года назад

      @@gsquare8585 You are most welcome! Apologies on the delay. We just want to clean out the fines every ton or so of fuel we burn. There are big differences in pellet fuel types, so some you may notice inches of fine accumulation after a ton, and you may notice almost none after a ton has been burned. You can base your cleaning schedule of that area on what you see as you go through it. During annual maintenance it can be good to pull out the feeder slide plate from the sawdust cleanout box and do a more thorough vacuuming/cleaning inside the hopper throat area. Glad we were able to help, any other questions just give us a shout!

    I clean my burn pot every night. This time I found a 1/2" x 1" bolt in with the ashes. Everything still working ok but must have come from the feed system somewhere.

    • @EarthSense
      @EarthSense  Год назад

      Hey James, that's interesting.. Generally if it was in the feed system it would have jammed your auger shaft trying to feed through. Check the 4 burnpot bolts; I believe that is the size of them. Ref video: ruclips.net/video/4Y8d5wdIZWI/видео.html

      @@EarthSense Thank You for responding. I'll check that tonight after I shut it down. I did occasionally hear a clunk like it was hitting something but it was so seldom I didn't think it was serious. It's a P43 Harmon.

    • @EarthSense
      @EarthSense  Год назад

      @@jrecord2 Most welcome James! If you were hearing a clunk in operation than maybe it did go through the feed system through the auger.. Glad it didn't jam things up. It's not common but we have seen bolts etc.. like this get into a bag of pellets during the manufacturing process. Could be a foreign bolt here as well. Just double check everything and let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

    Could u Upload How to Operate a Harman Pellet Pro 2?

    • @EarthSense
      @EarthSense  Год назад +1

      Thanks for contacting us. The Harman Pellet Pro II (PP2) is a very early Harman model. This is not a model we have unfortunately so we would not be able to do a video on it. It does operate similar to other Harman models; Here is the owners manual for the Pellet Pro II if you don't currently have that. It does a decent job going through operation, parts, and maintenance. Hope that helps. www.manualslib.com/manual/679860/Harman-Stove-Company-Pellet-Pro-2.html#manual

    • @EarthSense

      Definitely would not be opposed to that. We can certainly add it to our list of upcoming videos. I did see a few videos on the 52i-TC that Harman has up on their channel - maybe these can help a bit for now. ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=harman+accentra+52i+tc
