@tonycloseukreef3799 i totally agree! I learn new things all the time. I have had the do that for a week or two....but never that long. Black leopards are tougher then some others on top of that!
I just got a black leopard wrasse and a regular leopard wrasse 2 days ago for my 160 gallon reef. Both have been hiding in the sand bed since they were introduced. I am hoping they come out of the sand soon but I am hopeful that it won't take 3 months! That is insane! Never give up!
@AbsoluteZero6714 Thank you! Me too....the guy was less than a inch when I got it. I think the LFS gave him to me free because nobody would take the chance on such a small little Leopard Wrasse!
@@WRASSEREEFCHANNELYou did great! At that size did you find them difficult at all? Did you get him straight into your main display or an acclimation box first?
@AbsoluteZero6714 The little guy went straight into my tank. It was back when I just had an 80 gallon. You can see videos of that tank on here. I didn't find him difficult because I fell in love with the little guy at the fish store. He out competed the bigger fish for food, so I took him home. He was at the LFS I now work at for months. He was so tiny. Now all these years later he lays in my hand and likes to be petted. Crazy!
@plasmagaming3208 It's hard to tell.... he just hit the sand, and never came back out for almost 3 months. He is a little thin....but otherwise eating and acting normal!
Amazing fish
Everyday is a learning day in this hobby thanks for sharing 👍

@queencityreefs Me too! I was shocked to be honest! Leopards are my favorite....but black Leopards are tougher than some others imo.

How long can they live without eating? I got lucky with mine. Mine was out and about the very first day.
@amoosenamedgoose3723 That's a great question. I wonder if he was eating other things under the the sand or something.
What do you think caused him to hide?
