Think about how many things had to go right on the tying goal: Hughes takes Nyquist out of the play so it's 6 on 4, Pettersson doesn't blindly throw it into a crowd and gives it to Miller, who keeps his shot low for a deflection instead of going high and risking a complete miss, Zadorov blocks two players from the play. Boeser tracks the puck down and despite missing the first attempt, somehow pulls the puck into the net while stopping. Saros didn't have a good grip on the stick which meant he couldn't stop it, and Nyquist was late coming back into the play so he missed blocking it with his stick. An insane sequence of events

I am 35 years old and none of my teams have won a Championship in my lifetime. My teams are also known for blowing games and series in miraculous and new ways. I am starting to think I am the problem. This loss by the Preds cut me to the core. It was worse than the Chargers blowing a 27-0 lead in the playoffs and worse than the Mets 2015 World Series. The only thing I could compare it to would be the AFC Championship against The Patriots in 05’. When Troy Brown tracked down Marlon McCree from behind to rip an interception away. I hope this game isn’t franchise altering. The Preds need to bounce back next game. And if they don’t, it’ll be all my fault. Because I am truly cursed!

The ¨MISSED¨ shot on the GOALPOST... don't know if you would recall, but SAME STORY :
Women Hockey, Gold Medal game (if correct), 3rd period, Canada down by one, empty net, they try hard, but looses the puck to the USA team, from far away, USA pushes the puck toward the empty net, it slides slowly directly onto the post... no goal, of course.
Then Canada came back to tie the game and win in OT.
Something like that. Sorry if I missed some details.

    - Silovs was in net to replace DeSmith (he's now 4-0-1 this year)
    - Canucks had 2 shots on goal going into the last 5 minutes of 3rd, Preds had 11.
    - Boeser scores with 3 minutes left
    - Sissons hits the post with 1:45 left
    - Hughes breaks Nyquist's ankles, Boeser scores a hatty with 8 seconds left
    - Garland feeds Lindholm to end the game 62 seconds into OT

Nah, game four is probably the only game where Nashville outplayed without question against Van. First game was all Van. Second was all Van but Nashville did a masterclass in shot blocking. Third was uno reverse card and Nucks did a master class in defending and limiting play to the perimeters. Game 4 was atrocious for the Canucks outside of 3 min but they only needed the 3 min to win it.

His skate didn't leave the ice, but he definitely added speed to the puck with his push. The terms in this rule are puposefully left vague to give referrees and the reviewers in Toronto latitude to follow Bettman's directive that teams in US cities with larger fanbases than their Canadian counterparts be given in-game advantage wherever possible.

I've watched that Colton Sissons backhand shot at the empty goal numerous times in slo-mo, and it seems there's a definite possibility that Quinn Hughes stick just barely nicks the puck... perhaps just enough for it to then hit the post and bounce out... instead of in.
