One of the greatest times in the timber can be enjoyed when the redbuds and dog woods flower. The sounds and smells of the forest coming to life. Gobbling turkeys, morels growing so quick you can hear them pop, shoot... even the birds sing their joy for the coming to life that is spring! Keep hunting fella's. I'll keep watching! This might be the best video you guys have ever put out! Loved it! The absolute perfect portrayal of hunting in the Appalachian mountains! U don’t always get those gorgeous “Hollywood” footage hunts hunting terrain like this, most times it’s a head periscope and that’s it. But u wanna talk about intense, this is it! Awesome guys!
On the 3rd bird, when the head's lit up like that, it's gonna be a mature tom. Jakes may have some red but won't have the white cap. But the state game dept. says confirm legal with a beard sighting. Crazy good huntin' in KY!
That’s the way you do it, get you bird and back home by 8:30, been there before. Those days don’t come along like that very often but when they do, it makes for quick work and good hunting. Congrats Ben and Zach, we’ll done!

Love it . . . pick up an empty Pepsi can (litter) and say, "Don't be that guy". I almost always wear a backpack when hiking/scouting in the forest so that I have a place to put litter I find. Taught my 2 sons that this was the 11th Commandment . . . "Thou shall not litter". I encourage the THP guys to point out when they find and remove litter from the field/forest. Sets a great example for your 455K subscribers and random watchers.
Those last steps coming right up to you is what i live for that was amazing guys!

Had two birds hang up on the other side of low growing green briar in WV last year…this video brought back memories great hunt!
Sometimes it's too much for them to come through. We have had them hang up on it a lot over the years. But other times they'll surprise you and make you wonder how they got through it!

Make shure you watch there older deer hunts. I learned a lot from them to and give them a lot of credit for me calling in bucks and killing my first 10 point. Scraping the ground, calling on the ground, blending in, just archery hunting on the ground in general. Zack has alot of great ground hunts. And I got my first two turkeys last year and I love it. Spring and turkeys are awesome. The turkey is a amazing bird when you learn about how they live and what they have to go through to survive, there in 48 states to.

I meant to comment in the last vidéo with Ben shooting the log. If you give them à little put they'll often stop and put there head up to look around. Maybe you could have had a little better shot. Super great hunt either way and it's easy to second guess your choices especially when I'm not the one in the action.
I may be a little biased since it’s home but I don’t think you can be KY During early turkey season the whole state is beautiful from blooming trees and flowers and turkeys hammering is just the cherry on top

I had a Jake like that last year in Ohio. Super hot, gobbled a crap ton, and sounded like a Tom the whole time…. Called him off the roost and shot him within the first five minutes of legal. 17.6lbs 6inch beard, one of the best hunts I’ve been on.
