      Yeah he does sit pretty high and he is a small guy as well. I did sat right behind him last year for a Protocol show. And filmed some stuff right behind him - and several clips is featured on my channel. That was really special to be so close. It was so powerful yet so dynamic. Simply amazing.

      Kind of the inspiration for power toms even though this kit wasn't actually Tama power sizes . They didn't even make deep toms at this time.

    I saw him in 1979 in Denmark at the Roskilde festival. With Jeff Beck, Jan Hammer and Stanley Clarke. It blew my mind.

    I saw Jeff in concert on campus at SIU in 1980. Simon was on drums. Awesome show!!👍🎸🥁😎

      Wonderful!!!
      In 1976 Simon played on "801 Live". His drumming on "East Of Asteroids" is amazing!!!

    Saw him in the mid-80s at a Tama Drum Clinic what's the best drum Clinic I've ever seen and I've seen Billy Cobham Lenny white Steve Smith and Terry Bozzio drum clinics

    Those sideways head tilts remind me of Gregg Bissonette during the Buddy Rich Memorial concert. I wonder if they both got them from the same inspiration...

    Da merkt man aber schon sehr stark die Einflüsse von Billy Cobham auf Simon, was er selbst auch schon in einem Interview erwähnt hat...

    What kind of ride is that on the left? I think I just acquired one. Has a bigger bell than other Zildjians I've seen from that era.

      Hmm. Could it be a 22’Rock Ride?on his left? I am not sure. On his right though is a 22 Brilliant Earth Ride. Had one but sold it. Would love to get it back.
