Nice picks. On a side note, in 1975 my 8th grade English teacher made sure her students all knew how to spell connoisseur. I remember to this day, and bet most of her students do as well.
I just recently picked up a vintage bottle of i’instant de Guerlain edt , I wasn’t sure if I was going to really like it but it’s incredible, the patchouli in the dry down is freaking awesome
Great video. The back shelf display keeps what you have mentioned in sight without having to go to the links. You tend to forget quickly what was mentioned when not in sight.
Pasha Parfum is excellent but I rarely have a chance to use it, it only works in cold weather for the most part. LIDGE EDT is really good, its cacao note is really amazing and well done. I ordered the EDP, can’t wait for it to come in the mail.
Nice list. Mine would be: 1. L Instant de Guerlain EDT 2. Oud Wood- Tom Ford 3. Tobacco Oud- Tom Ford 4. Rive Gouche- YSL 5. Azzaro pour homme 6. Narciso Rodriguez for him EDP ( masterpiece) 7. Eau Savauge EDP 8. Kouros- YSL 9. Prada Amber pour homme Intense 10. Habit Rouge- Guerlain
The designer ones in my collection that would fit this list would be Dior Homme Parfum and Elie Saab essence n.6 Vetiver. But for younger people also Beau de Jour and Eau Sauvage Parfum would be quite eye opening!
In all honesty, aficionado types like myself steer more towards COMME des GARCONS, L'artisan Parfmeur, CB I Hate Perfume and out of the Chanel range *Antaeus*. Scents that are dense, complex earthy and woody in other words which was released more so in the mid to late 80's. Bertrand Duchaufour is a good example of a aficionado perfumer very much the artisan that one Mark Buxton is good too.
I'm looking into Hermès Bel Ami, which is compared as being similar to Roja Fetish, but I'm afraid of any harshness, "challenging" skank and animalics. I've got a sample coming ne t month so I'll know then. But I would think Hermès Bel Ami would be a bit less expensive than the Roja. And rather than a popular Tom Ford like Tobacco Vanille, a true connoisseur would might experiment with more niche-y and obscure Tom Ford's like Fougere D'Argent, Fougere Platine or Moss Breches.
I know people go and say this and assume that. Is there any reviewer that like has pull with Mugler to see why they discontinued all the great Angel Men flankers that are in super high demand. Why are they such financial duds that they kill the good and just keep the original and wow, they are still selling that one called Alien.
Funny Enough I just entered a giveway at Justin Copeland Stay fresh productions for the PDM Carlisle If I win I will be closer to Connoisseur material.
I find the title of the video badly chosen. indeed, we may very well not like the smell of the perfumes mentioned in this video. It is therefore not a question of "connoisseurs" but of taste quite simply! For my part, my list of the 10 best perfumes (autumn/winter) is as follows : 1. CARLISLE - PDM 2. BLACK PHANTOM - By Kilian 3. OUD FOR GREATNESS - Initio 4. BLACK AFGANO - Nasomatto 6. ENIGMA pour homme - Roja Parfums 7. HEROD - PDM 8. Au Coeur du Désert - Tauer Perfumes 9. BARAONDA - Nasomatto 10. NOIR EXTREME - Tom Ford I can add LAYTON - PDM
Yes fragrance is all about personal taste. The point of the video was to highlight that most beginners to the hobby probably wouldn't love the fragrances spoken of in this video right off the bat.
@@ScantSquad Just found it is the english variant of connaisseur. As a French speaker I thought @chaos fragrances made a little mistake since their spelling is very similar. My bad @Chaos Fragrances 😊

Great list. I cherish my two bottles of vintage LIDGE(dark rimmed). Fetish is at the top of my “Next to buy” list.

Prada Amber is my favourite in my collection..
Which would you recommend, Stronger with you EDT or Feragamo Uomo Signature?
MM Replica - By the fireplace !
Amber Pour Homme is a true masterpiece
Great video!! I would also add Jubilation XXV By Amouage
I love that two fragrances I own are in the thumbnail, I *must* be a connoisseur. 😂 great video my man.
Imho you missed The Dreamer here. It is very decisive, not for the blue crowd..
I still have an unopened bottle. 🙏🏻
Gucci pour homme is a personal favorite of mine, I was under the impression it was rebranded to Gucci by Gucci pour homme not discontinued
Fantastic video
Great list and I enjoyed it and I'm going to get a bottle of PDM CARLISLE and have a blessed day
its a not like pegasus or anything like a tom ford nior. its a unique deep frag
Yes I know I had a sample about 2 years ago it's a 10 out of 10 in my opinion
Ahhhhh…. I love Prada Amber Pour Homme. Beautiful scent

Great video 💰💰💰
I liked the video primarily because of the off-shoot selections combination, it was somehow trail blazing.

Making fun of people who believe they’re the most unique people in the world while other people say they stink for 500$
LOL that thumbnail 😂👌
Niche would be legit. Great vid
The is a wild list . I love all
I would like to see a mention of scentstory 24 gold oud 😅
Loved these fragrance choices🔥 "THUMBS UP"🥊🔔

Woahh. All the time there was the bottle of Rochas Moustache EDP in the background and it was not mentioned 😳
Connaisseur on dit les amis ! It is Connaisseur 👍
That thumbnail is brilliant😂😂
Finally a reviewer that abstains from niche scents. Niche is too easy.
Camera quality extra crispy
Sohan-penhalligons
Oud wood intense- Tom Ford
My pants were off during my viewing.
Could’ve done with an amouage here.
Yo i was just looking at Bentley Absolute XD
Armani Eau De Cedre

🤌🏻🤌🏻bold connoisseur frags, thanks for the vid dallas
it's CONNAISSEUR my friend :)
I’m sure it is
Connoisseur according to the biggest search engine, no mention of connaisseur, would this maybe be an english variant?

@@JustBeYourslf English is a weird language, I still don’t know it too well myself (I’m a native speaker lol) thanks for watching!
The English spelling is based an older French spelling.
