Definitely feels like halbs can get great value if you slip a few in. Not enough that you're dependent on the connect to do damage, but if you do get into a scrappy fight 5-10 halbs really perform if they don't answer them - cossack/hussar level damage, don't take bonus damage from musket and pike, add some much needed siege, etc.
