When baking a lot of cookies (especially around the holidays) put cookies in airtight containers along with a slice of bread and the cookies will stay very moist for 2-3 days until ready to serve or bring to party.

That was so encouraging! Thank you! Sometimes I feel like I am wasting your time and my breath. Ha! What a great tip for the cookies. Come to think of it, I think my grandma did that and I always wondered why she had bread in with the cookie jar. Ha! Brilliant!

Hi, I'm from the uk, and the eggs are never stored in fridges in supermarkets and organic ones tend to come unwashed, a great tip to extend the life of bananas is to keep the stork in water they don't brown as quick and last for days longer

This is so fascinating to me! I wonder why we have such different messaging in different countries. And thank you for the banana tip!! I am definitely going to try that next. So grateful to you for listening from the UK!!

I use coconut oil to keep my granite sink looking nice. I usually rub it on the sink after I have cleaned up from supper. I do this when it starts to look dull. My stainless steel laundry sink gets the same treatment.😂😂

@@TIDBITSandCompany I generally cut an apple in quarters and cut off the seeds and then put 1 or two quarters in the sugar, depending on the size the bag or jar of brown sugar is. 😘👍🏼

You know when chicken or fish (Kamey, ha ha ) is done when white juices from here and there on the top of the grilled or broiled chicken or fish. Good thing your husband isn't a fisherman😊😊😊❤

Hubby just got a ton of fish from a fishing trip in Alaska with his brothers. I am going to have to share this tip with him. I just have to leave the house when he cooks it because I can't stand the smell! Wish I could!

I read my kids your comment and they felt bad for your family. Ha! They wish I wasn't so weird and would have a microwave. But when we do, it is all they use and then I worry about all those nutrients being removed from the food I lovely bought and made. Glad to hear it is working out for you!

    • @TIDBITSandCompany

I guess I hate buying too many things that require replacements. The cast iron ones we use also are a different size and the liners don't fit great. But that is a great solution!
