I loved the video and the cinematics, though as a moroccan fellow, I reeeeally can't let you describe Fez as a ´poor man´s Marrakech´.. While love both cities and have both qualities, but Fez is an over 1200 year old city that was the cultural and scientific beating heart of many moroccan empires that spread out many countries. Many philosophers , theologies, writers , even a Pope (Pope Sylvester II) studied there. It has the oldest still working University in the world, the first ever Doctorate diploma of medicine was delivered there, it´s the world biggest Medina and car free area spread over 9000 alleys. It´s a heaven for the traditional authentic moroccan food with recipes dating over many centuries. A center for ancestral craftsmanship that dates back to over a millennia and is still producing etc etc etc There is actually sooo much to that iconic city. That being said of course I respect your opinion to have preferences , I solely believe Fez still deserves some respects and not being judged too quickly. Also unfortunately as a moroccan, I have been saying it for years, the local regional government that is responsible for the region Fez-Meknes is not doing a great job. There´s still a lot that needs to happen to make that city shine its true colors. I agree with you on that regard. Morocco as a whole is developing extremely well and fast, unfortunately not everywhere is getting the same speed and due to its complex architecture with all the narrow streets and all, Fez has been extra difficult to get there but I´m sure it will. In 2030 as part of Morocco co-organizing the football World Cup, Fez will be one of the hosting cities where the world is expected and I hope that by then it will get better. The deep spirit and historical significance of the city throughout time still remains regardless. I hope you had overall an enriching and enjoyable experience in my country and I wish you nothing but the best :)
Beautiful city to visit. It is picturesque with a unique layout. For sure a nice place to walk it all for its topography.
All Moroccan cities are beautiful and each city is different from the other 💚❤
What an amazing place ❤
