I’ve never been a fan of center consoles over 21 ft or so. The pilot house or cuddy is just a lot more versatile and you really don’t lose much front deck space. I like having a place to get out of the elements if it it’s too cold or hot, plus like capt, said, you can sleep in a cuddy if need be. A center console is pretty much a day boat to me.
@@cheapme1850 I agree I prefer a cuddy cabin over a center console any time especially here in Florida we have thunderstorms and being away from the elements is awesome
I had great memories on the Yamaha boat but this one is a lot more comfortable for overnight specially I got where to sleep also refrigeration and air-conditioning you can't beat that👍👍
For someone who seems focused on safety, I'm really surprised you used the trolling motor spot lock to hold on place while swimming. Not recommended! Yes, it worked. But the first time it malfunctions while you're in the water... you'll wish you used a regular anchor when nobody is in the boat.
Well captain in this Sanctuary it isn't inlegal to drop your anchor if you do there's a $30,000 fine for doing so and I spot lock my boat in a way that if the wind will push it away from other boats if it loses the spot lock so nobody gets hurt the only thing the boat will drift away and I just have to swim behind it that is not a big deal trust me I am very concerned about safety but thank you for your concern cap.
I am assuming you cannot drop anchor or tie up to the lighthouse? Are the boats in a line tied to each other with the front boat tied to the mooring? The reef is quite beautiful, could you spear fish or collect lobster there?
You can only use The Mooring and yes they were all tied down to each other and you cannot fish or Lobster it is a sanctuary and I heard if anybody anchors there they could get a fine up to $30,000😬
@@OutOnTheReef back in 83 I took a small boat to Sombrero and asked a snorkel party captain where to anchor? At that time there were no mooring balls as I remember.
