- How to make a wooden twin propeller Aircraft Whirligig toy. In this part 1 video we cut out the wood stock on the 8-inch band saw, sand the parts to shape then make the "landing gear" wires for the Air Coupe airplane whirligig. Thank you very much! Actually have managed to aquire 4 lathes over time, as I really enjoy turning. The one you saw is a 1941 South Bend 9, it is a very versatile tool.

Good eye! Actually, that's an original 1962 Austin Healy Sprite the for-runner of the MG Midget. Sold it about a year ago.
