Something's wrong with Polyrythmic Pong (around 7:00). It sounds especially cacophonic in this version. For comparison: ruclips.net/video/2WtIudUClcw/видео.html
Hi, here is my explanation. The composer used several synths and custom instruments. The Polyrhythmic Pong song tries to load instruments, maybe effects, that don't exist on Roland SC-88..most probably on any Roland GS module. It is up to the device how it will deal with it, if it tries to play such song. For instance SC-88 doesn't play anything, you have to modify the source file and set an existing instrument or switch it to GM mode. The SC-88 will reject all advanced sysex commands and extended GS instruments. I have a feeling the midi files were composer's working files, not optimized to any existing module or synth.
