- The Capsuleer Day content continues! This time, we're taking a Caracal into the Tier 3 Combat filament, the Disastrous Gamma Filament. This is a slightly modified version of a fit originally posted by Erstschlag on EVE Workbench. Unlike Tier 2, Tier 3 needs a more expensive ship and more active piloting. I lost the first time I tried due to not paying sufficient attention to mechanics.

If you watch Erst's last Twitch VOD, he uses one. I just made a little adjustment for the cap issues in the Drifter room.

Nirvana-set for tank or Hydra set for application would be an amazing addition
Thanks for the coverage. I had a room just like this in a T2 without the sentries. Rough with my fit and didn't make it, but it was a battle! I couldn't kill the frigs fast enough so they were always in the room. It sucked bad lol. Anyways, what was your passive recharge rate?
Thank you for using a sane fit. I wonder if Heavies instead of HAMS might be good? Also, do you think synth crash would improve performance against the frigates?
Heavies would definitely save some time killing the turrets/frigates. Drugs definitely help. I did the recorded run clean, but had one of the good login boosters that I used for other runs. They helped a lot.
And I can't take full credit for the fit. It's heavily based on Erstschlag's. I just made a change or two.
Light assault missle launcher could be an option too. Good application but the reload time is a little unpleasant
Quick Question: How did you get to 979.2MW for your powergrid in the Caracal? Mine maxes out at 960. Are you using an implant or am I missing a skill somewhere. I have Power grid skill at 5 and advanced weapon upgrades at 5 and I can't get this fit to run. I'm 3MW short.
Could it be Shield Upgrades V? I ran it without implants, iirc.
Isn't a AB better for sustained higher speed over pulses of MWD? Considering that you might require a faction AB that is ...
I went into a beginning filament with a passive Caracal and FORGET to swap out the drones for the Salvage drones i had and take the right ammo and I was wasted....
I didn't know HAMs would work on frigates.
They're not ideal, but the battleships can be a significant DPS check, especially in higher tiers.
@@thedronebay I'm guessing you have the skills to 5 for sig radius and explosive velocity.
Not sure what I think about this event. T1 is stupid easy an unrewarding. T2 is normal easy, but still not really rewarding considering what it takes to get into it. And from the looks of T3, its definitely a challenge, all the hoops to get into it, and is it really rewarding? Don't get me wrong, the overall mechanics and idea of this event is good. Its a good test and I don't think I would change it. Probably just boost the rewards so its worth the time.
I don't disagree. I did it until I got the skins I wanted, then took my alt that was doing it back to J space

@@christophebernardin3221 Most of all the stuff has crashed in price as the event ages. More ROI at the start of the event then the end. I'd say the event is good for those that want those special edition skins, or for new players that want a 'safe place' to test new aspects of the game. Otherwise for us experienced players, the only thing left is its just something different to do to break up the usual.
jeez that's a bit blingy for that site.. could've saved a whole lot of money by just multiboxing it. active caracal with hams and recharge vexor flies right thru t3.
Just so u know this did not work in the drifter room with the neuts.
I lost the first time to the same thing. Once I got the hang of the Pac-Man mechanic I was able to beat it.
This years anniversary event sucks for those of us that don't do abyssal filaments........since i started eve i have lost so many ships trying to do filaments, so many in fact i wont risk another ship.
