Noel, and Cameron hands down did not get enough credit for their roles on this show as Ian and Mickey. The chemistry between the two of them…and their ability to completely submerge themselves into their characters. If you didn’t know anything about them or the show and just saw the scenes they are in together, at least me personally would think they were a real couple that grew up on the south side together. These two are the only reason why I finished the show, and now I’m on my 3rd time rewatching it. (I won’t lie I skip a lot of the Fiona and Debbie and their drama) lol
As someone with bipolar disorder seeing the actuality of this mental illness portrayed in media made me feel so seen. Like any other time it’s like “ohhhh they have mood swings but it’s not that serious” whereas here it’s unfiltered and shows the ugly, horrid actuality of how fucking serious it is and how we can easily kill ourselves in a manic depressive phase. And maybe it’s not healthy but I honestly want someone like Mickey in my life. Granted Ian’s and mickeys relationship can be toxic at times but it’s literally all I want

I could watch clips of them all day. They’re the greatest TV couple of all time. The fact that they’re not together in real life kind of shatters my heart a bit. And they’re both straight in real life, so that in itself just proves how phenomenal of actors they both are. Their chemistry on screen is super strong. I can’t wait for season 11! I also HIGHLY recommend a spin-off series that focuses solely on Ian and Mickey now that they’re married. And of course...it should be called Gallavich. 😊

The electricity Cameron and Noel generated on screen , as Ian and Mickey, set the gold standard for two guys in love. It matters not, big screen, small screen, or on Broadway, I want to see these two work together again.

I love these guys so much. Gallavich is the goal because Mickey wanted it . I never knew about Gallavich or Mickey when I started this show in 2021, so got there all on my own. To all those who want to find their own Mickey, you better be good to him/her. Mickey's self sacrificing way of loving came from a place of abuse. He loved his father and defended him to Ian in S3. His devotion to the abusive parent was so realistic. He took that same unconditional love into his relationship with Ian, where Ian could hurt him over and over again (post s3, both intentional and because of his bipolar) and he would keep coming back for more. It wasn't until s11 where Ian was starting to understand his responsibility, to not take advantage of Mickey's unconditional devotion. Mickey's are precious but so vulnerable.
I love Ian and Mickey… however, it’s hard to forget that he did nothing when his sister got beat up and cared less about his son - despite the circumstances of his birth it’s still his son.
It's completely insane to me how people can go from deep depression to being the happiest person alive. Just a few weeks ago I was extremely depressed and felt terrible every day and now Im more outgoing, happier, more energetic, not as anxious, and it feels like everything just keeps getting better. Im only in middle school and havn't been diagnosed but it's just crazy.
