Welcoming new hens and a rooster

Indeed, the introduction of newcomers in the group is not easy, it is necessary to get the hens used to rubbing shoulders, which in the case of a sufficiently large course does not pose a problem.
The rooster will also help with this.
It is also necessary to take into account potential health problems such as diseases and parasites such as coccidiosis, coryza, worms, scabies of the paws, etc. We therefore implemented some curative or prophylactic treatments to avoid problems.
We also had two losses following attacks from buzzards. It's nature ! We do not want to install a net or other artificial system that would complicate the system, on the contrary, we intend to optimize the interaction between the natural elements which will take time.
NB: Raising chicks is a different kettle of fish because it is more often the victim of predation. This supposes that one of our hens is a good brooder, and has a good maternal instinct, which is not always the case with the selected hens, (the silky hens seem well adapted).
But nothing prevents us from letting things happen if the opportunity arises.
