      @@RinJackson : Not sure what difference that makes. As I said, he would frequently blurt out the answers to the clues, and in at least one case -- as shown here -- he gave the answer to the whole puzzle!

      Daytime Emmy nominees are expected to submit a showreel consisting of their best bits over four episodes. Obviously, this bit was not submitted. It's hard to tell what Tom was trying to say. It maybe that he had just been nominated for an Emmy, and he joked he wasn't worthy of it. Or he may have sarcastically said that this bit could have been included in his Emmy nomination reel.

    0:45 - "Do it" is one of the most idiotic euphemisms for sex that has ever been created. In some contexts I can understand, but with how prevalent the phrase is in so many different contexts it's no wonder it's no longer used that way.

      It may be so generic that calling it a euphemism strains the imagination. But in this context, he had already asked her if she wanted to play Password, _then_ asked her if she wanted to 'do it'. Was he asking her the same question twice in a row?

    What a way for Allen Ludden to come back to do any version of Password. That "do it" clip was from the first episode of Password Plus. That same contestant would provide a blooper of her own later in the same episode.

    Well, Tom Bergeron (the host) mistakenly thought that Brianna had lost, but he forgot that she had won the first game of the match. He was kind of congratulating the other contestant for winning, which he hadn't.

    I miss Bill Cullen and Bert Convey. They were 2 of the coolest Gameshow hosts ever. Bill Cullen looks like he could be Drew Carey's dad.

    Oh, I remember seeing part of Leland's famous run on Blockbusters while it was on GSN, but I didn't see this moment until later on.

    I think that was something the host of that show (Steve Parr, the nameplate made an error. That was actually the New Zealand version) did all the time as an entrance. He was usually able to stop right at the podium.
    This time, he hosted from the third row!

    Leyland had two runs on Blockbusters (he took time out to finish his degree) totaling 20 games, with each game taking more than one transmitted show. He is in the bulk of the Blockbusters clips.

    Bill Cullen hosted the most game shows of any emcee in the history of television, about 25 or so different formats. Among them was the original "Price is Right", "$25,000 Pyramid", and "Blockbusters", just to name a few.

    One that's ironic is that Bill Cullen was the host of the original "Price is Right" from 1956-1965. Back then Bill wore glasses similar to what Drew wears now. Weird, eh?

    I kinda feel sorry for the first Password host (can't remember his name) who said "Do you want to do it?". When he said "Play Password that is!" and looked around confused & I think he was really embarrassed. His voice had a very 50s TV quality about it.

    Besides, the NZ set is obviously different to the Australian set, where the contestant podium can be found on the left, and the host's desk is on the right (instead of the other way around as in most versions of $ale)

    Yeah, I don't think there was a sound effect for the host blowing not only the clue, but the answer to the puzzle as well. There was so much wrong with that, that they just hit every single sound effect on the board. And that's what made it hilarious.

    About the fella in the Blockbusters clip, Leland Yung (for those who don't know): he became one of the show's all-time winningest champions, becoming one of the few players to win the maximum twenty matches and retiring with $106,600 cash.
