Om what we've seen in our pre-season games, it looks like Farke has been testing James Debayo at left centre-back (where he was very good), and at Right-back (where the winger giving Bogle a tough time, was in Debayo's pocket). Bogle gives much more going forward, but when he's having a torrid time defending, Debayo looks ready to step in. So this lad could take Debayo's place in the u21's, and come through in the next two years. Worth the fairly small fee.

I've seen this reported but can't see why we need another CB? Don't think this has been reported by respected sources e.g The Athletic or Beren Cross, Fabrizio Romano etc etc
@@joeblackburn42 I believe the reason Ampadu worked as a centre back was because he has presence and time on the ball when in possession. Cooper (bless his cotton socks) would panic a bit and boot it upfield. Now Struijk WAS the best passer out of defence before he got injured but the Ampadu-Rodon dynamic really kicked in because we had much more possession of the ball and didn't concede any goals after Christmas for ages ... which always helps! This year .... I hope we will have more possession in the midfield and wide than at the back with some quicker passing. So far so good from what I have seen.
@joeblackburn42 ya that's true Joe but I think we Will make two more signings and rest will be loan and that rumour as come out.we mite be get Ryan Kent on loan agian how many times as that happened all last season lol 😆 😀
In my opinion we need to keep whst we have no more to go out we need to bring in a #9 like Sargent to rotate and push Joseph and Bamford then bring in 2 or 3 on loan to play across midfield fir squad depth do this and the league is ours ,100+pts and 20+ clean sheets aand i can not wait .....MOT

I don't know! He did mention keeping an eye out for opportunities though in all fairness, and there's been chat around this guy for a LONG while

Because odds are, the club has dozens of various targets on shortlists, only a few develop into bids and even fewer turn into permanent moves.
