Feels like they remembered how much of a masterpiece Singularity was and decided to get back to building off it with 4D. Never rly got a chance to after they lost their lead I guess and personally didnt like the last 2 albums, but this song is rly good.

Mate from bloodline i really thought this album was gonna be Korn/linkin park nu metal kinda feels. But every single song has blown me away. Pure musical Northlane talent and raw lyrics. They just get better i couldnt be happier!
I really like to think that Alien is their White Pony album because of the concept of experimentation and huge style variations between songs. What an amazing trip this album is!

@DK yes trance, the electronic style of music that has big emphasis on huge synthesizer arpeggios and melodies that wash over you when the drop hits. Much like the synths in this track that have been paired with the guitars

There's a genre called trancecore, and many bands involved in it. Most of them incorporate multiple sub genres of electronic stuff. Though, most of them aren't even close to Northlane's latest album and the creativity and mixing that it has. One recommendation would be Fail Emotions, which is one of my fave bands, but many people don't really dig their vocals
Not to detract but Enter Shikari did that forever ago. This is incredible and well executed but not entirely new

Squidd Indeed. In fact, 2019 is big for metal. Within about 5 months, tons of bands are releasing music. Thy Art Is Murder dropped Human Target in July 28th, today we got new albums from Humanity’s Last Breath, Northlane And Carnifex, in a week we got the new Slipknot Album and an EP from The Contortionist, on 16th August we got the new Shadow of Intent album ‘Melancholy’ and a Knocked Loose EP, we got both Tool and Wage War on August 30th, we got the new Infant Annihilator record on September 11th and a Korn record on the 13th, we got some Opeth and Fit for An Autopsy in October and finally we got some Issues in November. Plus I think it’s very likely other bands will drop shit around Christmas. It’s like every big metal band decided to drop albums at the exact same time, or within a really short timespan. A lot is going on the metal scene to say the least, and I couldn’t be more excited :D
