When the top has been 'down' for a period of time, it takes a 'set' and tends to curl up in the back. If allowed to stay up for a time, they tend to settle back down.
Lol I wish someone would move the seats so I could see how far back and forward they could be positioned. I’m really kinda tall but I’ve always wanted one of these.

I think you just have to flip the Edge down for it to get into position

Is it only the 71 that has a rear defroster? I don’t seem to have one in my 1970 that’s on the way
Virtually all U.S. 1971 models have the rear defroster (it is how MB North America ordered them) but on the other years, it was optional.
