      No beer for Grammer, my friend. He is an alcoholic albeit one in recovery. Perhaps Grammer's heavy alcohol abuse led him to endorse and support the likes of Mitt Romney, Ben Carson and Donald Trump.

      Because you reduce someone's political choices to a disease.

    I can't stand that some people in the comments section are being disrespectful to Kelsey and his personal life due to his political beliefs. I think that is just wrong whether you are liberal or conservative. I hope some of you agree.

    • @scaper8
      @scaper8 7 лет назад +35

      Agreed. I wholeheartedly disagree with his political views, but that should not even factor into the discussions on this video. No one, NO ONE deserves this kind of tragedy and most certainly not for a personal political view.

      BigFeetBigMeat420 I like him too. It doesn't matter to me he's conservative as some of my favourite actors are:David McCallum, Tom Selleck, Gary Sinise, Patricia Heating to name some. I guess it's easier since Kelsey and Gary are my age and the others are a bit older. I'm glad he regained his faith too.

      @edsmithmusic951 5 лет назад +1

      That was Kelseys choice, believe it or not. I saw it on an interview I was watching recently here on RUclips. Niles was originally going to be called something else, (in fact, I believe there was no brother in the script originally and when they did write a brother into it, the fact that he was exactly the same as Frasier was almost the reason Kelsey turned it down) I forget what, but when they wrote him in.....Kelsey said the name wasn't right and suggested Niles. I have probably got some of that wrong as I only watched it the once.......but I know it was Kelsey that suggested the name Niles.....have a look for the interview on here. It was quite recent.

    • @edsmithmusic951
      @edsmithmusic951 5 лет назад +1

      I got it wrong. Sorry. Here is the interview. Notice he says nothing though when they ask where the name Niles came from. It was the surname Crane that he requested to change. The other stuff must have been a different interview. I had a binge a few weeks back.

      There are many who've bashed him for having sent an e-mail to one of his wives stating that he wanted a divorce. What they don't know is that she only ever wanted to talk about how she was going to kill him.
      All humans need to step back for a moment and place themselves in the shoes of the one they're attacking.
      Kelsey Grammer is, to me, the very best ... I've enjoyed every Frasier show and everyone knows I feel that way. I receive disks as gifts for the Frasier segments. He's had moments of his own where he fell, but I would have also, if I'd gone through what he has. His strength is immeasurable.

The fact that he was able to live through it all, pull himself out of the addiction hole (the fact that he is in various treatments, in no way diminishes his strength), and still pull off a successful film and television career is a testament to the man's personal. strength.

    There is a real bit of research for you... Did Frasier's brother's name really come from the insane murderer? Seems Kelsey would refuse to let them use that name unless it was something he decided on to somehow poke fun at the guy. I spent 20 minutes on Google and read several webpages and found no mention of where the name on the show came from. With such an odd name, it just can't be a coincidence.

    Usually I really enjoy this channel's videos, but I feel the need to say it was in very poor taste to do a video like this on someone who is still alive. Whether or not you think someone may have thick skin doesn't change the matter, either. It's one thing if someone's done something unfortunately stupid or selfish and brought a tragedy on themselves, but Kelsey isn't responsible in the least for the events depicted; rubbing salt in those wounds is just mean. This was a poor judgment call.

    Tastefully done. Took me several days to decide whether or not to watch it.

    How can such a man live with all of that and still be such a brilliant comedian, I grow up on cheers and Fraser and never knew, I definitely agree with the beer and a hug comment!!

    It really is tragic what happened to Kelsey Grammer. I did some research on him and I found out that for maybe 2 or 3 seasons of Frasier, Kelsey Grammer was drinking and doing drugs. But, thankfully, his fellow cast members and crew staged an intervention in an effort to get him some help. Thankfully, he did go and received the help he desperately needed.
    Rest In Peace to all of Kelsey Grammer’s loved ones.

      Holy crap, that is a tremendous amount of tragedy for a person to have to bare. I would probably have had a drinking problem as well. On a lighter note, thanks for the great vids.

    You forgot to mention his lead acting in the show "Boss", very good show, very tragic thriller/politthriller.

    I'm a friend of the man whose mobile home Grammer's sister crawled to before she bled to death. John WAS home that night but wasn't aware she was there until he opened the door the next morning.

    HOLY FUCKING SHIT! After watching this I need a drink. It also puts things in perspective, especially after watching your video about Arnold Schwarzenegger. Life could be as much better as it could be as much worse. So, don't don't knock yourself for what you don't have, be happy with what you have, and work hard for what you want.

    Simon could you do a series on Neolithic humanity and Ancient History? Like first civilizations and maybe first laws, cultures, arts, religions, myths, architecture etc...?

    At 0:38 he says Frasier's parents,instead of Grammer's parents.
    Very funny
