so you went backwards on technology cool!

if you work on cars you should know the nigthmare of working on wiring and brittle connectors on a 25+ year old car, let alone, removing all the crappy emissions stuff may not be "going backwards in technology" so much.

Yep, I have a ca18det that I have been rebuilding on another cleaner s12 shell, this carb project is just a fun project on the side. Wiring harness since I owned this car has been frail needs to be rebuilt or replaced and finding a replacement is nearly impossible. I got tired of hacking the harness and didn't want to dick with going megasquirt. Don't care much more of power from here just all the looks with shits and giggles.

your thought process is the only thing backwards here

    Did you need your ecu?

doing the carb conversion at the time was to delete (remove) the ECU and engine wiring harness to make it a bit more simple.
