The Head of the River is the oldest continuously run School Regatta in the world, from 1868-2017. This incredible milestone in APS Sport history is captured in this video which surmises the 150 Year tradition!
The Head of the River races have weathered such difficulties as flooded rivers, disputes over ages, dead heats, disqualifications, and even the inability of a school to round up enough rowers to boat a crew.
