The Nature Company was a chain of nature based retail stores that opened in 1972 and closed in 2001.

Nature Company was my favorite store when I was a kid! I loved looking at all the fossils and gemstones. The store just had such a great atmosphere. Eventually it converted into a Discovery Channel store which just wasn't the same. Thanks for making this video, I feel like no one remembers this store

My college job was at a Natural Wonders!!!! Rainsticks, Enya CDs, amethyst geodes & kites for all!! (I never knew about the lawsuit.... the stores were nearly identical, you are correct!) And all of a sudden, it seems, they disappeared! Thank you for this memory.

I loved that store! The whole look and ambiance was fantastic. They went the extra mile with that place. I was sad to see it get eaten up by Discovery. It was never ever as good.
For some future video suggestions, how about The Bombay Company and Imaginarium? Both great stores!

Thank you for the video. I remember these stores in the Bay Area. I think I visited each of the stores in different Bay Area malls love the hands-on concept that natural wonders and love the theme of the nature Company.
