Iga, your fame is spreading. I'm from the US, became a fan in '21' when I started watching tennis again (had to relearn most of the players again). To me you seem to be a great talent on court, then a great human being when the match is over and your off the court. Jazda Iga!

Iga you carry on as you are you are a well balanced muture young woman.
Having trail blazers like Iga can teach kids in Poland to dream larger than previous generations (I would say the same is true of Robert Lewandowski). You don't have to be American or British or whatever to have success at the highest level, etc. against the world's best. Even if there isn't a history of doing so. It can be her mission.

You know, I've read this interview quite recently, didn't know about its existence here, on youtube. Now I'm really trying to understand what it means to be Polish? It's much more complex than I thought? I still think it could be similar to my culture though.

Well, whenever I hear Iga speaking, I just feel love. Just...love. And let me tell you, that is not something that I EVER feel about public figures. But Iga does not come across as a "public figure". She comes across as a 21 year old kid (forgive me but I am decades older) just starting to figure things out, and aware of it. (As when she says, in this video, well, you know, I haven't had that much life experience yet, so...what do I know? hahaha. That's just great.)

Jestem bardzo dumny z Igi i jej sukcesy , Pokazuje Polaków z dobre stronny , i pokazuje ze Polaki mogą zrobić sukces w sportach. Polaki są naród bardzo pesymistyczny i bardzo zadrosny od inne ludzi sukcesów, i jak Lewandowski mówił w jego przemówieniu kiedy wygrał nagrodę za najlepszy gracz na świecie , że „Kids from Poland are not supposed to be the best” ale to już nie fakt w dwie wielkie i popularne sportów Polaki jak Iga i Lew są najlepszy, oczywiście że Lewa jest stary i nie długo skończy grać ale było czaszy kiedy był najlepszy a Iga dopiero mam 21-lat i ma dużo długich lat przed sobą, i dużo lat żeby zrobić dumę dla Polski. I w dużo innych sportach też się pokazujemy i myślę w następnych kilka lat polska się może stać wielkim playerem w sportach na olimpiadę i w innych area. To grą dalej Iga , ty już nam bardzo dużo dumy zrobiłaś i dalej będziemy dla ciebie kibicować

Poza tym wpis tego autora wskazuje że jest albo z Polonii ze Wschodu albo spolszczoną osobą ze Wschodu identyfikującą się z Polską. Trochę wyrozumiałości. Nie zgadzam się przy tym z tą opinią- Polacy uwielbiają narzekać ale nie znaczy że są pesymistami, co do zazdroszczenia sukcesów to moim zdaniem zupełnie nie trafione. 1:30 Nic nie jest za darmo, a zwłaszcza takie sukcesy, jakie osiągnęła Iga. Zobaczcie jakie ma worki pod oczami, a przecież to dopiero co 21-letnia dziewczyna. Tak więc nie ma co zazdrościć, tylko doceniać, podziwiać i wspierać ją, bo taką pracę, jaką ona wykonała, by dojść tu, gdzie teraz jest, zna tylko ona i jej najbliżsi.
Moim zdaniem Iga i jej zespół powinni się koncentrować na jej karierze solowej. Występy w cyrkowych turniejach w Dubaju czy w United Cup powinny być ignorowane, bo tylko zaburzają cykl przygotowań do następnego sezonu, kosztują siły fizyczne i mentalne. No chyba że traktowane są jako element przygotowań, treningu. Ale z tego powodu opuściła już np. turniej WTA 500 w Adelaidzie i nie obroniła punktów z ubiegłego roku. A kto będzie pamiętał o tych cyrkowych turniejach w jakimś tam teamie Kitties a potem półfinał w United Cup, który nie wiadomo, czy będzie miał w ogóle kontynuację??? Powinna się skupić przede wszystkim na Australian Open i kolejnych wielkich turniejach. Ale to oczywiście tylko moja opinia, a wybór należy do Igi i jej zespołu.

Na szczęście - mimo cynicznej propagandy - coraz więcej Polaków otwiera oczy na prawdę o konflikcie na Ukrainie.
Najwyraźniej się nie rozumiemy.
Ja nie chcę widzieć na czapkach tenisistów żadnych flag/politycznej symboliki.
Ja pragnę oglądać sport a nie polityczne demonstracje w wykonaniu młodej manipulowanej dziewczyny, która nie rozumie - podobnie jak ty - przyczyn wojny domowej na Ukrainie.
Na twoim miejscu raczej nabrałabym wody w usta i zamilczała albowiem i wasi politycy sprowokowali obalenie legalnego rządu w Ukrainie w 2014.
Moi krewni walczą zarówno w ЗСУ jak u szeregach donieckich antymajdanowych powstańców a wiec wiem coś na temat tej bratobójczej (w istocie proxy) wojny.

Iga's dad raised the 2 girls alone. I don't know exactly what his relationship with Iga's mum was like, but probably not very well since he took care of them by himself and their mother was not in their lives. Anyway, respect to the man who was a single father of 2 girls and raised them to be great people, including one to be No.1 in tennis.
@@Rene_Moor3095 Her father did not raise 2 girls alone. The parents divorced about 4 years ago. Before that her mother had been fully involved in Iga's life and career, and most importantly as an orthodontist was making all of the money for the family. Her father after retiring from professional sports tried to run a small business but without any success. The mother (for some reason and against her will) has been separated from the family. The question is. What did she do to be treated like this by her daughter?
TBH, it's none of your business. They don't talk about it publicly which means they don't want to. Even her mother in the one and only interview said that she did not want to talk publicly about their family relations. So don't be nosy and stop drilling the topic

They are under big pressure all the time. They are normal people that happen to play good tennis,they did not necessarily look for international attention and hate. A lot of them cannot handle it. Good that she adresses it.
