As much as I love the books, I think it's worth pointing out that some people find the books to be a difficult read at times, because of the complexity and depth of scientific concepts involved, and the characters tend to be a bit nerdy and/or dry (as is almost always the case with hard scifi). If those two things don't bother you, then you will probably find the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy to be one of the best book series you've ever read. It truly is one of the most mind bending, thought provoking works of fiction ever written.
The book trilogy is amazing, you won't regret reading them.

Definitely read the books. The trilogy is one of my favorite of all time. The show is mixing 3 of the books together, but it seems like they're seperating the times per season. I'm optimistic about this. Only concerned that they split the first books MC into 5 separate characters.
Three Body Problem trilogy will blow your mind... It's one of the best sci-fi book series of last few decades that even George RR Martin praised & acknowledged it... It asks some very interesting philosophical & speculative science questions...
