nah, PONOS just did a brilliant move here, the restriction of only being avaible in xp stages, and limit of 3 times per day,
perfectly shows how careful and honest are the developers. they didnt sell out to money at all, that proves how much they care for this game and its players!
this is hella clever monetisation right there!

Ikr, like honestly ponos has probably the best type of monetization a player would like, a free mobile game where you can go on without watching ads or paying, and using them just in case you're not really into grinding? That's cool

Interesting though. As long as we don't get ads when traversing levels or right up in our faces every 5 minutes, this is ok. Optional and gives massive boost!
The battle ads was back when the 1 catfood ad was infinite and not 5 a day, there was some large scale grinding back then with that
Ngl I wish that was still an option, was nice knowing I didn't have to wait for an event to happen to stock up catfood
That's a feature i'm surprised they never put in before, considering how shitty the ads for items are in gamatoto.
Also nowadays, some exp stages like the aku ones offering so much, and being one time clear when they appear, really makes it a huge boost. It's also a nice feature to have because nowadays user rank is required for stuff like true supercat.

Yeah. My user rank is still around 6500, and those unused Super Feline are just taking my cat storage slot lol. I can't use them unless I raised my user rank more.
Why are people angry?? the limit is only 3 times a day, + if you dont like this update just dont watch the ad :/, this is a singeplayer game yk? so it doesnt matter, if you like something do it, if you dont like something then dont do it, this is a massive W for early- mid game players
I think it’s mainly about the aesthetic of the game. Adding more places to watch ads just doesn’t seem very professional, even for a free gacha games these days. Ofc, aesthetic is subjective, and you might not mind it considering ponos already has plenty of other places for ads.

@@emersonrodriguez125 These ads are non-obtrusive, completely voluntary, and beneficial to both parties involved. Can you imagine if ads automatically pop-up before or after you clear a stage with no benefit whatsoever?
@@emersonrodriguez125Nah. The fact the ad is completely optional won't ruin any aesthetic at all imo. It's unlike the ad suddenly pops up when we are playing a stage, right? It's just a simple button... For a stingy F2P like me, this simple optional ad for some benefits is a win.

All this time I always thought Battle Cats is a very generous gatya game. Ads never bothered me in BC. It actually helped quite a lot with those extra catfood, etc. This is very good for new to mid-game player but as an end-game player with too much exp idk lol. It's cool if I need huge burst of exp if like a good Ultra Form going to come out next update or after spent all exp upgrading units on half-exp week (like right now). Not that I grind exp every week anyway. The 5 times exp stages spent on the cheapest exp stages possible so I can save energy elsewhere.

I'm 100% looking forward to this, it'll save a lot of time, especially for those of us like me who will open the game, play an XP stage, then close again.
Brings me back to when the watching ads for energy feature still appeared for me.

I don't get why some people complain about this new ads feature here. Why do you guys think battle cats is becoming an ads game? You can choose to never watch ads and you still get access to all game contents. Ads is not required to unlock anything, it's just you watch ads you get small bonus in return. Do you guys want PONOS makes the game become 'watch 50 ads to unlock a FEST unit' or something??

6,270,000 XP for 500 energy is crazy. That’s almost getting an Uber from level 1 to level 30 (6.49M XP cost). And XP Bonanza is now on every day.
People can buy 2 million xp for 1500 cat food, and 4 million xp for 90 cat food (90 cat food for two treasure radars, which can be used on Merciless XP to earn 2mil rewards each). Fun 😃
Brilliant ad placement tbh, especially since it has such a generous award. Way better than their 5 catfood 5 ads thing lol.
Also uh if you refused to watch that double exp ad it will never disappear until you leave the stage

that's because there is upper limit on how much money ponos can make from ads. and it also won't look good to their collaborators

I hope double cateyes from gatamoto gets added or something that allows extra cateyes to be obtained. The little treasure drops from gatamoto aren’t super consistent in my opinion

Im fine with optional ads just as long as i don't get random ads while switching levels. The game does need to make money and it is quite f2p friendly IMO.

Yo, I am on bcjp and updated to the latest version, and none of these new ads pop up. Old ones like energy and gamatoto pop up but not this double xp one. Does anyone know why?
