This is the 4th use case for patrol points I've ever seen
Other use cases are:
> 5% cooldown challenges- patrol makes it easy to spam marines
> Patrol points over banana farms and door gunner a banana farmer
> Funny wiggle if the patrol points are right next to each other

@@pwrsocket That's how I always felt about it too. Like, sure you can door gunner a banana farmer, but who _actually_ is doing that? Who wants to get special poperations and the monkey knowledge for door gunner, just to _not_ use door gunner as a gunner? It's such a waste.

I'm happy you got to try this out, though I gotta say it is quite tedious lol
The INTENDED solution was: (spoilers)
420 ice monkey in the centre and 010 ninja monkey on the right side of bottom right track
I noticed that the first attack on the ninja it is guaranteed to distract, if you place it right, you can distract the first bloon towards the centre and make them go off track (get it? 💀) .The ice monkey freezes it in place but somehow the actual attack is larger than its shown range??? So now its able to hit all of the ceramics, and at that point its just a matter of surviving - I did give some leeway with the lives.
(He played this pre-version 43 where all the prices changes where implemented, so there are probably other solutions now)

Managed to beat the first map with 0-0-4 engi / 0-2-0 ninja
You gotta put engi on the left side so he has time to drop a second trap.

Yea this solution is definitely possible, but from what I'm seeing he played it pre-version 43 where all the price changes happened. So he wasn't able to afford it
I was trying so hard to make a challenge based on the freezing heli bug, but I couldn't. I'm very happy to see that someone else figured out a way to make it work

The last one made me think: they should've given the bottom path heli an ability to do that sort of thing normally. For the longest time it was seen as pretty weak after it was nerfed, and heli's struggle with multi-lane maps in general due to having to fly so far to switch targets. It'd make so much sense if the bottom path had the ability to scatter the helis for multi-lane maps somehow. Like the mini helis should have a separate targetting option like robo monkey, maybe even a new one where they favor targeting separate lanes over of grouping up
Comcom was the strongest single-lane tower before this update, this update nerf its speed in exchange for damage which makes its synergy way worse but still good. Yeah it should be a feature though
They could just add Etienne's targetting to the comanche
@@dungnguyentien1355 well yeah, it's strong now. But it had to be buffed a bunch to get to this point, because it was really weak for a long time thanks to alchemist no longer affecting the mini helis. Think something like this would've made a lot of sense to add back when it wasn't very strong.
also Etienne's targetting kinda sucks. Usually first is still better, and it still does nothing to help with multi-lane maps.

Never use it. Just pretty much use pursuit because I'm lazy.
For the most part, locking the heli in place or using pursuit are easier and better
Why would I ever do patrol when both pursuit and lock in place are way more consistent?
Patrol points would be cool if you could have more than 2 points. They should make that a monkey knowledge or something

Sure, but he's talking about desyncing the planes with patrol points, not just patrol points.
The last challenge was probably easier on mobile because leaving it on follow mouse changes to follow touch so you don’t have to worry about accidentally moving mouse or something like that
you have to beat challenges twice??. What... That's weird... For how long has that been the case?

I believe everyone knew about patrol point, but everyone forgot because it's very situational

Fun fact: if you set a 2/x/x heli on patrol points, it's kinda like regular pursuit but in a specific area

I use patrol points for putting banana farmers in my 050 helis so they pick up banana farms over a larger radius
Back in 2019 my favourite thing to do was set the patrol points really close and watch them vibrate violently lol
If you have a sharp blades heli, you can somtimes bug it with different targeting to get it stuck in one direction no matter what, causing the blades to always be in the best spot

I encountered a bug in which my comantee defense heli was set to pursuit but the mini helis followed mouse
I didn’t have a chance to abuse it since I had no idea what caused it and either the mini helis expired or they went back to pursuit
It happened twice in a run. The first time, all three minis followed mouse, then just one the next time

You wanna know something crazy that nobody knows? You can drag the mortars targeting by clicking on the mortar and drag the target ring around. Its very clunky and not really as useful as it sounds but it is there :)
