27:27 what makes it worse, i think, is that this was a biopsy. for those unaware, autopsies are when the patient is dead. biopsies are for when the patient is still alive. *Rarity is still alive.*
Well, a biopsy is done to remove a small piece and then investigate it. Like removing a potentially cancerous mole, or a breast tissue biopsy. An autopsy is a FULL BODY internal examination, rather than an examination of a small sample of tissue.
There is Nothing she could do about it now tho since she petrified into a gemstone statue and possibly spreading it to all of her customers at her boutique
I think what happened is Rarity became immortal, but she never became an alicorn, so over the years, her magic became stronger and stronger until her body couldn't take it, and this story happened. I just wonder how she became immortal, I think the most likely candidate is twilight, but if so, did she do it to her other friends so she wouldn't have to lose them? Does that mean subjects 2 - 5 are Appplejack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Spike? If Twilight did make them immortal, it's also possible her death made the magic go haywire. I love it when a story leaves me with so many questions. Hopefully, this story continued. I can't wait to see where it could go!

Makes sense, Twilight and the Element of Magic are the conduit for the other five Elements, losing both means they're no longer focused and this is the result The Magic within the Elements is starting to become unstable and this is certainly going REALLY wrong
The fact that rarity doesn't feel any of this is even SCARRYER like, her eye is litiraly falling off, dangling down her eye socket and she literally dose not even knowtice, its like the crystal infection numbs all feelings of pain in her body or smth
Gentle Heart was true to her profession through and through. Even going as far as to forge a signature just to help Rarity. Sure, she ended up getting fired for it, but she has my respect 🫡. DAMN. The most horrifying part was when Rarity was vomiting for OVER 12 MINUTES STRAIGHT. Hot damn. That's just... absolutely horrible. VA did a stellar job, well done!
Guys, I just realised something. Take a look at Rarity’s portfolio in 1:41 . Rarity’s Birth was during 977, and her origins of saving Equestria which dates back to 1000, which mean she’d be around 23 years old then. Fast forward, this case is recorded in **1523-4**, and Rarity is listed as a 546 year old, so we do the math (1523 - 1000 = 524, 523 + 23 = 546!!) My theory is that after Twilight ascended to become a princess, Twilight did some funky magic, tying her (newfound) immortality with it as to keep her friends alive all this time; thus the seemingly immortal living, and from the looks of it they had NOT aged at all. So, after Twilight died, there’s nothing to keep the source of eternal life flowing so the magic goes haywire and backfires. I’m guessing the spell involves a crystal, or are specifically tied to their cutie marks. Anywho, Twilight clearly did not anticipate her own death so they probably never saw this coming (at least not this early on). Now my question is: how did Twilight die? It could play a really big role as to why the spell decides to manifest in crystallised forms instead of eternal life, hmmm. Outside of theories though, love how Rares just has a bunch of marriages that all ended with the stallion going bye bye ❤

Maybe the magic she tried was tied to a pony's wants or wishes. Twilight likely knew she would outlive her friends and wished that they could live as long as she could. This would explain why rarity would grow gems when she wished to have new ones

Rarity's VA did a phenomenal job, especially in the ending where the noises she made really sold the severity of her affliction Her performance made me cringe, but in a good way lol, awesome video
Okay, more theorizing: Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are Subjects 3 and 4, particularly hard to restrain both of them given how fast RD is and Pinkie... *Being Pinkie.* Fluttershy is subject 2, and DISCORD probably took her away. that's why her whereabouts are unknown and why nobody can find her. and Applejack is subject 5, which honestly makes perfect sense beyond the potential shipping (lmao). Applejack has never come off as someone that would fight against authority unless absolutely necessary, and if she IS fearing sickness, like with the others, she WOULD more than likely willingly submit herself to medical intervention to keep her family safe.
the fact that it starts off just like her cutie mark instead of some plant is GENIUS (gives room for more Ideas too), and having Rarity be the cause and patient is such a wave of fresh air! Every time I see Rarity in an infection AU (when she's included), it's never for anything really special. This was Gorgeously written and preformed!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Although this would fall under "Body Horror", something about this story just doesn't feel like "horror" is the right word. To me, it's just sad and heartbreaking. Even if the condition can't be reversed, I wish there could at least be answers about what's going on. And the worst part is the feeling of not knowing whether or not Rarity is still alive within that stone, and if she is, whether or not she's aware that she's alive. And considering that this story is called IMMORTAL Affliction, I'm afraid that she just may be still alive in there.
A comment further up explained that they performed a biopsy, not an autopsy, biopsies are when that patient is still alive, so I think it’s safe to say that poor Rarity is still alive under all that crystal!! 😢
I really enjoyed this. These are the types of stories that I like I think the most because there’s a level of body horror in here, and the eeriness that we see here really reminds me of the SCP foundation specially with the recordings and I just love how the sound is modified so it genuinely sounds like you’re listening to a recording it’s immersive. I also found rarity’s attitude, extremely uncomfortable. I don’t know how else to explain it. Let’s just say that she’s concerned from what’s happening to her, but not in the way that you would think she seems more concerned with her aspect rather than “am I gonna die “ And the way that she disrespects the staff is really unnerving and again just adds to what I’ve mentioned before. The Lost Narrator’s voice, as always makes it even more unnerving. Because there’s times where I find her voice relaxing and there’s others where I find it creepy which fits exactly here since it is a horror story and that’s what I love. Overall, I really enjoyed this fic and it’s definitely gonna be one of those that I’m gonna be listening to over and over again.
I actually believe that, if Twilight made everypony immortal ( more than likely through a spell that depended on HER to keep stable ) her death deestabilized the spell and it's currently crumbling down in a mass domino effect. There is no cure. There's only making sure the spell doesn't affect the newer generations if Equestria wants any chance at surviving. Ofc. This doesn't affect the true immortals. Aka. Celestia, Luna, Discord and potentially Cadance and Flurry Heart.
This was not only an Expertly written story (hats off to Mag) but also was so incredibly well performed. (Lost was a wonderful narrator as usual. And Scribbler gave us one of the most beautiful monologs I've ever heard) So I for one can't wait to see where this story goes. And hats off to everyone involved.
Good gravy mackeroll and holy shit. I'm so freaked out. That part with the extended puking was the worst (best) part for me. That gives me something more than chills, I don't even know how to describe it. Imagining the horror of more and more sharp painful stuff ceaselessly spilling from your face and never getting a second to breathe, with the ever growing horror of just how much there could possibly be, probably growing in quantity at a rate far faster than you can physically get it out. As someone who does a decent amount of puking in their life, THAT'S HORRIFIC. AMAZING WORK ALL!!!
This was great the part where rarity is just vomiting out gems really shook me to my core. I do have a theory on why this is happening. Everyone in this univeres is "immortal", and since Twilights friends are also "Immortal" pretty sure we can deduce that Twilight most likely made her friends immortal or hell maybe the entier ponie race. And this virus might just be nature correcting itself or maybe its some sort of foul play, who knows. But hey thats just a theroy, a MLP theroy thanks for reading.
Loved the story! I loved the concept of the pony's cutie mark involved with there injury/disease/infection. quite the fascinating and interesting story, I do hope there is a part two, possibly about another pony's experience like apple jack or rainbow dash, like apple jack grows into a tree, or rainbow dash starts to get rainbow patches on her skin but more detail. Just my thoughts and possible future idea's.
Everything about this is great. I expecially love the visual effects and the directing overall. It's so phenomenal. Instead of just still frames of the documents, we float around them in different angles while slowly moving to show more of them. The visuals for the recordings are my favorite. Getting different shots and different angles of this audio wave displaying device (I don't know what it's called and not even Google is helping that much) while also constantly moving around it. I can't exactly find the word to describe it, but it feels "cinematic" in a way. Your editing skills have improved so much and I can't wait to see you improve more. I'm also excited to see if you'll try different styles in the future. Experimenting can be really helpful.
Truth be told, its actually an after effects template that I downloaded from a digital asset website and then edit it to how I see fit. I've started using them more and more because they can add a new layer to the visuals, especially since I wanted this series to feel more like a report was being presented to you instead of just a straight forward reading lol Thank you though for the kind words! Usually don't comment on stuff, but ive been binging these for the past week or so. Dont really know why, perhaps out of nostalgia because I was a huge MLP fan as a kid. Whatever the case, I wanted to point out a potential consequence that I'm not sure I've seen pointed out yet. If the doctor got infected by touching the gem growth on Rarity, is it possible that every dress adorned with these "naturally grown" gems could also have the potential to infect the customer who bought them? A horrifying thought. Great video!

Rarity's body was mysteriously producing gems and the first thing she did was sow them into her dresses that she also SOLD!
She did believe it was a blessing and never knew that it was an affliction which could be spread and also be fatal

Well, a biopsy is done to remove a small piece and then investigate it. Like removing a potentially cancerous mole, or a breast tissue biopsy. An autopsy is a FULL BODY internal examination, rather than an examination of a small sample of tissue.
Well, Rarity did say she wanted to be fabulous as a gem. So she got her wish.
Maybe then she'll learn the truth of that saying "be careful what you wish for." 🤔
There is Nothing she could do about it now tho since she petrified into a gemstone statue and possibly spreading it to all of her customers at her boutique
I think what happened is Rarity became immortal, but she never became an alicorn, so over the years, her magic became stronger and stronger until her body couldn't take it, and this story happened. I just wonder how she became immortal, I think the most likely candidate is twilight, but if so, did she do it to her other friends so she wouldn't have to lose them? Does that mean subjects 2 - 5 are Appplejack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Spike? If Twilight did make them immortal, it's also possible her death made the magic go haywire. I love it when a story leaves me with so many questions. Hopefully, this story continued. I can't wait to see where it could go!
Spike's a dragon, he's already gonna be EXTREMELY long lived so immortality may not be needed.

Gentle Heart was true to her profession through and through. Even going as far as to forge a signature just to help Rarity. Sure, she ended up getting fired for it, but she has my respect 🫡. I hope she managed to find some semblance of peace from this.

Guys, I just realised something.
Take a look at Rarity’s portfolio in 1:41 .
Rarity’s Birth was during 977, and her origins of saving Equestria which dates back to 1000, which mean she’d be around 23 years old then.
Fast forward, this case is recorded in **1523-4**, and Rarity is listed as a 546 year old, so we do the math (1523 - 1000 = 524, 523 + 23 = 546!!)
My theory is that after Twilight ascended to become a princess, Twilight did some funky magic, tying her (newfound) immortality with it as to keep her friends alive all this time; thus the seemingly immortal living, and from the looks of it they had NOT aged at all.
So, after Twilight died, there’s nothing to keep the source of eternal life flowing so the magic goes haywire and backfires. I’m guessing the spell involves a crystal, or are specifically tied to their cutie marks.
Anywho, Twilight clearly did not anticipate her own death so they probably never saw this coming (at least not this early on).
Now my question is: how did Twilight die? It could play a really big role as to why the spell decides to manifest in crystallised forms instead of eternal life, hmmm.
Outside of theories though, love how Rares just has a bunch of marriages that all ended with the stallion going bye bye ❤

Maybe the magic she tried was tied to a pony's wants or wishes. Twilight likely knew she would outlive her friends and wished that they could live as long as she could. This would explain why rarity would grow gems when she wished to have new ones

A well worthy addition to the MLP infection trend! Such powerful performances by Magpie as the lovely Rarity, Scribbler as the dedicated Nurse Gentle Heart, Neighrator as the helpful Orderly, and Lost Narrator as a bone chilling narrator!
This immortal thing is something else I love It! It's like Rarity transforms and she does not like herself and it has an amazing epic on this storyline.

Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are Subjects 3 and 4, particularly hard to restrain both of them given how fast RD is and Pinkie... *Being Pinkie.*
Fluttershy is subject 2, and DISCORD probably took her away. that's why her whereabouts are unknown and why nobody can find her.
and Applejack is subject 5, which honestly makes perfect sense beyond the potential shipping (lmao). Applejack has never come off as someone that would fight against authority unless absolutely necessary, and if she IS fearing sickness, like with the others, she WOULD more than likely willingly submit herself to medical intervention to keep her family safe.

Although this would fall under "Body Horror", something about this story just doesn't feel like "horror" is the right word. To me, it's just sad and heartbreaking. Even if the condition can't be reversed, I wish there could at least be answers about what's going on. And the worst part is the feeling of not knowing whether or not Rarity is still alive within that stone, and if she is, whether or not she's aware that she's alive. And considering that this story is called IMMORTAL Affliction, I'm afraid that she just may be still alive in there.

Big Lost projects are always such a treat because I can go to them fully blind.
I really enjoyed this. These are the types of stories that I like I think the most because there’s a level of body horror in here, and the eeriness that we see here really reminds me of the SCP foundation specially with the recordings and I just love how the sound is modified so it genuinely sounds like you’re listening to a recording it’s immersive.
I also found rarity’s attitude, extremely uncomfortable. I don’t know how else to explain it. Let’s just say that she’s concerned from what’s happening to her, but not in the way that you would think she seems more concerned with her aspect rather than “am I gonna die “ And the way that she disrespects the staff is really unnerving and again just adds to what I’ve mentioned before.
The Lost Narrator’s voice, as always makes it even more unnerving. Because there’s times where I find her voice relaxing and there’s others where I find it creepy which fits exactly here since it is a horror story and that’s what I love.
Overall, I really enjoyed this fic and it’s definitely gonna be one of those that I’m gonna be listening to over and over again.
I actually believe that, if Twilight made everypony immortal ( more than likely through a spell that depended on HER to keep stable ) her death deestabilized the spell and it's currently crumbling down in a mass domino effect.
There is no cure. There's only making sure the spell doesn't affect the newer generations if Equestria wants any chance at surviving.
Ofc. This doesn't affect the true immortals. Aka. Celestia, Luna, Discord and potentially Cadance and Flurry Heart.
This was not only an Expertly written story (hats off to Mag) but also was so incredibly well performed. (Lost was a wonderful narrator as usual. And Scribbler gave us one of the most beautiful monologs I've ever heard) So I for one can't wait to see where this story goes. And hats off to everyone involved.

Good gravy mackeroll and holy shit. I'm so freaked out. That part with the extended puking was the worst (best) part for me. That gives me something more than chills, I don't even know how to describe it. Imagining the horror of more and more sharp painful stuff ceaselessly spilling from your face and never getting a second to breathe, with the ever growing horror of just how much there could possibly be, probably growing in quantity at a rate far faster than you can physically get it out. As someone who does a decent amount of puking in their life, THAT'S HORRIFIC.

This was great the part where rarity is just vomiting out gems really shook me to my core. I do have a theory on why this is happening. Everyone in this univeres is "immortal", and since Twilights friends are also "Immortal" pretty sure we can deduce that Twilight most likely made her friends immortal or hell maybe the entier ponie race. Loved the story! I loved the concept of the pony's cutie mark involved with there injury/disease/infection. quite the fascinating and interesting story, I do hope there is a part two, possibly about another pony's experience like apple jack or rainbow dash, like apple jack grows into a tree, or rainbow dash starts to get rainbow patches on her skin but more detail. Just my thoughts and possible future idea's.

Everything about this is great. I expecially love the visual effects and the directing overall. It's so phenomenal. Instead of just still frames of the documents, we float around them in different angles while slowly moving to show more of them.
The visuals for the recordings are my favorite. Getting different shots and different angles of this audio wave displaying device (I don't know what it's called and not even Google is helping that much) while also constantly moving around it.
I can't exactly find the word to describe it, but it feels "cinematic" in a way. Your editing skills have improved so much and I can't wait to see you improve more. I'm also excited to see if you'll try different styles in the future. Experimenting can be really helpful.
Truth be told, its actually an after effects template that I downloaded from a digital asset website and then edit it to how I see fit. I've started using them more and more because they can add a new layer to the visuals, especially since I wanted this series to feel more like a report was being presented to you instead of just a straight forward reading lol

Usually don't comment on stuff, but ive been binging these for the past week or so. Dont really know why, perhaps out of nostalgia because I was a huge MLP fan as a kid. Whatever the case, I wanted to point out a potential consequence that I'm not sure I've seen pointed out yet. If the doctor got infected by touching the gem growth on Rarity, is it possible that every dress adorned with these "naturally grown" gems could also have the potential to infect the customer who bought them? A horrifying thought. Great video!
