@@johnfernandes6077use a wired earphone if you care a lot about quality call. They’re a a tiny fraction of the price and always better mics for calls compared to even the most expensive Bluetooth buds. These are without ear buds but not that versatile for general use
I have a pair and these are excellent. I forgot them in my jacket pocket to realize that they went thru the washer and dryer and are still working perfectly fine. I bought them 3 years ago.
The beats wireless battery life drops by 75% in one bud at the 2 years mark if you workout every day. I’m hopeful these will be a great alternative purchase.
I was in same boat Had the powerbeats pro for 3 to 4 years than they started crapping out dieing mid workouts. Didnt want to spend more than double for the powerbeats so I tried these at $89 boxing week sale
Totally agree! I will say after a while I got used to putting them in my ear with one hand. You just have to try it a few times before you find a way to do it with one hand
I personally have had two pairs of these headphones, and initially this review is accurate, but their lifespan is pitiful. The first pair started to lose their volume in 3 months for no reason, so jbl sent me a second pair, and in another 3 months the second pair had also almost completely lost their volume. Full volume I could barely hear anything. And no they weren't dirty, and I tried cleaning them. Even if they were, I wouldn't want an earbud that goes almost completely quiet after hardly any time using them and having to clean them thoroughly routinely.
I got these and they decided to not charge anymore after about 8 months of use. In my experience they are garbage Not to mention blocking out sound isn't necessarily the best either.
How good are they at noise cancellation? Also how long does the battery in the earbuds themselves last? I cut grass for 12 hours a day sometimes in the summer and the earbuds I have are always dieing on me.
I have these earbuds and the noise cancellation is pretty good if you can get a good seal with ear tips. The battery life is absolutely amazing. I was on a 12hr flight and the batter literally only died on me at hour 10. A quick 5 minute charge and it lasted me the entire flight. Don't even think about any other headphones. They are super comfy
@@traderboi3954 you are right but I find that with the ambient aware turned off and the right sized ear tips you can get great noise cancellation. But no active noise cancellation like other over the ear headphones
You think so? I thought their volume is plenty loud. Granted I don’t blast my music because my ears can’t handle super loud volume, but even in my loud gym I didn’t experience any issues with volume
I loved the sound of my JBLs, but had major charging issues with the pods not charging in the case. Had to constantly clean the ports with alcohol and qtips even though they weren’t really dirty. Even upgraded and the same charging problem started almost immediately with the new pair. Switched to the Soundcore Sport X20s and the sound quality is just as good and no charging issues now.
No you’ll have to be connect to a phone at all times as far as I understand. I think JBL has a pair made to do that but I don’t think these are not made for that
That's what's up man I'm definitely subscribing because this and the old review made my mind up on what I needed to get for extra workout earbuds and my Nintendo switch earbuds. Thanks.
They slip off my hair too when im doing bench press. At least with hats I can sometimes put it over the top button and hang it on those to keep them from falling.
So they don’t have any Active Noise Cancellation, it’s more just Passive Noise Cancellation due to the good seal. That said, in my full review I mention though I was disappointed that it did not have ANC, whenever I listened to music or podcasts it was good enough for me not to hear most of anything else. Lmk if you want me to explain further or have any other questions about them. You can also watch the video here if you want: ruclips.net/video/2EhxsFXkLec/видео.htmlsi=Zy1XJ1ugM-WjMfhb
I mean think about it, if you only use them for workouts and you workout 3-5 times a week and about an hour, that’s 12-20 hours a month. Thats not even half of the promised 50 hour battery life.
I dont like them. The sound is flat. No bass. I had beats before JBL but Beats are worthless to me they have stopped working for no reason so I'm done.
I have glasses too though I typically wear contacts. I did try these when my glasses and they worked just fine for me! But can’t say it’d be the same for everyone cause I’ve heard some people complain about these style of earbuds with glasses often
@ardentlytech Thank you for this information. I had a pair of Skull Candy Push Active and lost one. I have been looking at upgrading, but the Push Actives worked so well for me and have physical buttons, so will probably just replace them.
@jawiechomp896 Thanks for this information. In the end I went for another pair of cheap and cheerful Push Active Skull Candy earbuds. The sound quality for music isn't a mind blowing, immersive experience but it is above adequate for my needs. The "Stay Aware" does not work well in windy conditions. However, the durability is phenomenal, the functions are easy to use, the battery life is excellent, they stay in your ears and resist sweat and rain, they last years. Sometimes it's best to stick with what you know. Why pay more? If I find I need an A*** audio experience, I would invest in some over ear Sony headphones and keep them at home.
I haven't tried them personally but I'm sure they'd be good for working out too but the hooks on these buds really make it better for working out; but that's just my opinion.
For working out do you think these or the jbl live pro 2 are better? I know the jbl pro 2 are better in almost everyway except the hook to keep them on your ear
I love these but I'd choose the live pro 2, the one thing that helped with the live pro 2 in the gym was getting foam tips like these: amzn.to/47fOQ0H (affiliate link) These really help the seal and keep them from falling out of my ears better than the silicone tips.
In my use they're not the best, but they aren't horrible. with the waterproofing feels like mic might be a little muffled but that could just be my experience
I use glasses and contacts and was able to wear these fine. Only thing is that they will eventually become uncomfortable but depending on your type of eyeglasses you might be surprised!
For me they were definitely loud. More than enough. But i have heard some people complain that it doesn’t get loud enough for them. I rarely used them at full volume.

100% the best GYM earbuds, they dont get ruined with sweat and I SWEAT A LOT, great sound, stay in place, and very easy to switch on and off. 5/5
