  • @ROgletree
    @ROgletree 2 года назад +14

    Another HD tip: it’s not a discounted item unless the original price is also shown on the tag. Just because it’s printed on yellow paper doesn’t mean it’s marked down. Clearance items will end with $.06 or $.03. This indicates how many more weeks it will be in the store. After that it goes back to the vendor or onto the dumpster. If you see a clearance item with $.06 you can wait and possibly get a bigger discount when it’s 3 weeks out but you take a chance on the item not being there any longer. As for damaged packaging the vendor replaces item that are damaged or unsalable so the store has no incentive to discount the item except for customer relations.

    For anyone saying you can't get a lower price, you gotta go find a manager, or assistant manager because most likely they have sales quotas that need to be met in order for them to get a bonus or something of that sort. And those items just sitting there collecting dust isn't helping them. And in the case of items like those makhita trimmers, those are on clearance because they haven't sold well at all, which means they most likely just want them gone and out of the store so they'd be more likely cut a deal. You guys also don't realize that those products that don't sell, just get thrown out because it's more cost efficient for the business to throw it out, than have it sit their and not sell.

      California has passed a law banning gas powered equipment and they are usually the first to do stupid things. With some of the battery tech that's out and what's next, more and more people will switch to battery operated tools. They'll even make pressure washers that can get up to 400 psi eventually.
