Hello Kiera. I am currently reading a book that says anemia does not exist. It is a copper deficiency. As copper is needed to load iron. Without copper we will be constantly tired, fatigued. The book is called “Cure your fatigue” by Morley M. Robbins.
I know this is old but, if you eat a red meat based diet, it’s very difficult to get anemia. You need heme iron not found in supplements usually. Many athletes are on the high carb lifestyle which increase inflammation and mostly vegan diet for keeping wt low for increased power/weight ratio but it results in malnutrition long term. ❤
As a ketogenic athlete, you temporarily touch on what we’ve know (secretly) for 20+years😅. No post exercise muscle soreness, greatly improved endurance, ability to repeat workouts more frequently, improved mental clarity & overall strength increase. My MHR is the same as it was 20 yrs ago😮. It comes with a catch, free ketones for life but NO CARBS either. Carboholics will have to keep chasing the high carb intake fad, gut issues & ROS induced cardiac complications later in life (Scott Tindal/Dave Scott hrt surgery etc). I would highly suggest working with Dr Tim Noakes et al and bc fat adapted & titrate glucose vs taking exogenous ketones. Good luck with your journey!❤
The channel “Road Bike Culture” explores, in a video from 2019, the ketogenic “lifestyle”, check it out. The RUclipsr is a physician. In my opinion and experience, ketone (specially exogenous) only makes sense in a ketogenic diet (“diet” obviously in the sense of what eat to live well, not just for weight loss). btw, as a curious cyclist you should try serious ketosis!
Nice video explaining some of the research and effect of ketones on our bodies. Just to be correct, acidic compounds in your blood decrease the pH, not increase it. I feel in his research the reason of the pH increasing in the blood is rather due to the increase in sodium bicarbonate intake, which is a basic compound, and not so much the keton intake. does that make sense?
Cheers for the videos, and always interesting to hear your thoughts on new developments in cycling! But please make sure that when you discuss the results, it is always in the context of the cost/value of them and not just about performance changes. ... I'd luv to get another 5-10-20 watts / 2-3 Kph / whatever increase on my rides... but if it effectively costs me the equivalent of £20-30-50 for each time I'm out on my bike (assuming I ride 3-4 times per week or something like that!), then I'm really not interested 😟 If it's £5-10 /month, where do I sign 😆) P.S. As the others have written, please throw that Lav Mic in a bin and get one that doesn't sounds like you are inside a cardboard box 🤪
Looks like they are about $4 per serving if you do not choose to do the monthly subscription, but still over the course of a year, it amounts to a ton of money. I'd probably rather spend that cash on a cycling trip somewhere to enjoy some new roads and a sense of exploration.
Sorry Keira, got to mention the audio quality. Barely listenable.
Couple of foams pads on the wall and job done 👍🏻
@@garybrown5769 I tried foampads between ears and headset. worked. kinda :)

The product you show is not a ketone ester. It is a different formulation based on alcohol.

Don't waste your money. Tried it for a week and does nothing for cycling performance.
Chris Horner agrees
@@PaulAngeloff only because he was taking other things

Yeah totally! Cost vs actual gain will be compared… also about the mic… I tried a thing… it didn’t work 😂
Well... Nail polish-like flavour, since it actually is nail polish! Not exactly of course, nail polish is usually acetone which is a type of ketone.
Minimal gains for maximum profit. Start of the video says paid promotion...doesnt mention by who
A guy reviewed this after taking it for a bit, and said his gas was lethal. Cleared a 60 passenger bus with 1 emission. Good luck.
Want to see the Ti bike.
lol just get an extra 30 min of sleep at night and there you go 20 watts extra. it's free, too 😂
Okay! Tastes gross! Expensive! May or may not improve performance! Sign me up!🤣 Not really. I’ll be interested in seeing your results
Well if its good enough for Lance Armstrong its good enough for me!

Maybe you can make your own ketones by following a Ketogenic diet. You'll burn fat instead of carbs and ketones will follow as a result?
