Agree, it is one very nice hammock and does so many things. The add on cover is a nice touch and the owner of the comany told me that he was coming out with a 365 version that would have the top cover zipped on instead of clipped on like the 360.
I have a 180 for my wife and am about to order 2 360s for her and my daughter. Fantastic hammock for the money. I did replace the end straps with Amsteel and the suspension with Dutch Beetle buckles.
Glad that you like the hammocks. My wife uses the 180 that I originally purchased. The 360 is the one that I use. Best hammock in my collection and I have a couple dozen to choose from including a Hennessy.
Im actually jealous, that's a nice hammock Bob! My new HG hammock doesn't even have a winter cover. GREAT review as usual Bob. Yeah, I've been super busy with work over the summer but am now able to test gear again. I've got some more cool stuff from Snugpak coming up as well as a 20° Econ Incubator from Hammock Gear and a 6lb wool blanket bed roll/bivy from Native Survival here on YT. Can't wait till the temps drop here in a few weeks so I can't start hanging again. I'll be doing a lot of gear test vids coming up of the things ive recently reviewed and the new stuff as well, stay tuned!
@@bobamos3628They might be too warm for SoCal, but check out their Venture Pile shirt and pants, SV3 vest, 2nd Skins base layers and Sasquatch jacket. That's what I'll be doing vids on coming up. I wore the pants, shirt and base layers in our -20°F freezer @ work the other day for 10 hours and was surprisingly warm. It even got down to -30° at one point for a while and I barely got a chill; It's only rated for the + 10° to + 20° range max according to Snugpak, lol. I haven't tried the Sasquatch jacket yet, but it's a proper winter coat so I can only imagine how it's gonna perform. The prices aren't terrible, on par with big brands like Columbia, TNF and Outdoor Research, which is average when it comes to higher performance outdoor clothing Id say. The difference is the proprietary fabrics and insulation that they use in all of their clothing and gear..... The same stuff that makes up their tents and hammock quilts, is what makes their jackets, pants and vests so you can actually trust the claims they make about performance. I have know clue what Columbia uses a jacket or sleeping bag shell, but I know Snugpak uses Paratex steel plate , Softie Premier insulation and TS1 thermal suede in both of theirs ya know? I've gotten almost all of my Snugpak stuff from either Amazon or used on ebay, with this new stuff coming from Snugpak directly and Becketts ArmyNavy in the UK..
Thank you for the detailed review. Out of all the Hammocks out there in the sub $100 range, this is my pick. I've wanted one for a while now. So many pros for me for this design. The open ended sack,, ridgeline, Removable and storage net, size, etc. One day when my wallet allows ill get one. Until then reviews are the closest I'll get. Thanks again!

Yep, very sweet hammock. William the owner, appears to be price focused on quality items. He also said that the UQ we have been referring to as being too heavy but I told him that car and base camping would have no trouble with it. He tells me that he is working on a light weight UQ for those that need something lighter. It'll cost more but will most likely be worth it. This UQ we are talking about here now costs UNCER $50!!!. Levi picked one up and I know of at least 3 others awaiting my review on it. Good to hear from you again. Glad you started doing videos again. And lastly, how is the wife doing? Fully recovered?

If only I had waited ......😢. I went ahead and bought a double ended stuff sack for the original one I bought. I did get the tarp that goes with it. The ‘window’ is really just a thick piece of plastic. You can get a view similar to that of looking through frosted glass. 😂 Especially after you’ve stuffed the tarp in the stuff sack a few times and the plastic has plenty of crease lines in it.

Bob Amos the tarp is super nice for the money. Very good quality. I just think the ‘window’ is good in theory, but over time, may cause issues with leaking from the plastic getting brittle and cracking, and you’d end up covering it in duct tape anyways, but we’ll see. I didn’t know the original ridge line was 108”. That could be why mine is constantly too tight no matter how loose I try to hang it.
@@gracefulonthetrail2244 Yes, my ridgeline was 108 inches. The new one is 110 inches. Not sure why the change. Unless it was just tied wrong in the forst place. After all, it was just hand tied.

About too many hammocks.. well, sort of agree... ;-) When you do reviews like this and end up with so many it is sometimes difficult choosing which one to use on a trip. So trip require using a particular hammock to test. That can be fun but when you get a dog of a hammock it ruins the entire trip. So... I take two. One that I am testing and one I love just in case.

Same here but not a fan of blue and that is all they offer in the 360 and 180 is only orange. My guess is the owner of the company is color blind. Being a hunter blue is a no go
I will ask William about the colours for both as well as the 365. My original one was orange, the 360 is blue but I recall seeing some in oragnge somewhere.. Again, I will ask and try to remember and set the record straight on my next video of one of Ridge Outdoor Gear.

Great vid man, watched it a while back and bought the hammock. Got the Mojave underquilt with it. Hands down best $114 I’ve spent on ANY gear item. Bought the cover today, I’m sure it will be as good as the rest of it. I ended up changing out the continuous loops for amsteel and changing the suspension to whoopie slings. I’d really like to try the Olympic tarp they make but can’t find them available.

Bob Amos the fit is fantastic. I live in Idaho and our lows overnight are down in the mid 30’s. I set it up in the garage and left the door open and slept very comfortable. Messed around with it tonight and layered a Costco down quilt in it...too hot for me, I’d say it would easily do high teens with a little quilt insert. It doesn’t restrict diagonal lay like some of the other underquilts at that price point...solid winner for sure.

Bob Amos yeah man absolutely. I just tried another Costco quilt option that is actually warmer as well. The have a $25 cascade mountain tech adventure blanket that works awesome for a top quilt or under addition. Even warmer than the little down throw.
I am with Chris. Seeing an underquilt and it's coverage on this hammock would be great since most people are going to use them with an UQ. I am guessing you would need a double size UQ for this model. Do you think a double UQ would give you the goverage and height you need for your shoulders and feet if you are a left head and right leg sleeper?

I have one of those "parachute blankets" aka a big sheet of hammock material sewn into a square with a stuff sack and you don't even really need to buy anything special, you just toss it over your ridgeline and tuck the excess material down into your underquilt. I find it stays perfectly in place all night, works very similar to this, except costs basically nothing. It doubles as a pillow or an extra blanket or bit of shade in other situations which is nice

Interesting. I find mine to be more than adequate in width. No calf ridge either. Try repositioning the tree straps up and down to see if the calf ridge gets any better..
That is possible. Also, some product was out of stock and was set to return. The underquilt for example. They were out of stock but they were set to be returning right after I recently did that video. Next time I talk with them I will try to remember to ask..

I love Snugpak's products.. But then I love most companies that produce quality and a reasonable price.

Thanks for the in depth video. I'm am 6'5" and was wondering if this hammock would be a good fit for me.
Not being that tall myself it would be difficult to say. But, an 11 foot hammock can easily handle a person of your height. It is very roomy in there.
I might see if Jellyfish can make me a winter cover for my HG hammock using that design, it's brilliant.
