My holy trinity of favorites all for different reasons, but they all cross over for certain abilities:
Angelina Jordan - Her tone/rasp/musicality, but to have the ability to combine it and fully embody PURE emotion that makes us reconnect to the beauty/feeling of spirit/god/etc.
Dimash Kudaibergen - His alien-like range combined with his work ethic/mastery in honing it all, and adding that focus to his PERFORMACE that also brings in the emotion--not quite AJ in that its innate in her, but more like a mastery of stage performing/being in character/acting while performing a song if that made sense.
So Hyang - The in between..She has a COMPLETE mastery of her vocal range like Dimash, but nothing too "alien" (ie: Dimash), but she can tug on our heartstrings so easily with her DEAD ON pitch like ive never heard from anyone else before--especially in her delicate head voice--and belt with such passion like the best singers to ever do it can.
All three are so dope..I feel like watching them can be so beautiful that it can be like a spiritual experience, as weird as that sounds haha.
Yes, Angelina has made this song her own.

Asia & BJ, thank you for another great reaction with this fantastic little girl, when you listen to her with the eyes closed, just as she sings most of the time, she takes really you far. This is Angelina's magic, she uses the minimum of musical accompaniment and vocal effort to achieve something that is uniquely hers, that fantastic balance of words, music and emotion that transforms her every interpretation into an experience that absorbs you completely and you realize that the little girl manages to be more emotional than Lana. 🤗 ❤️

This sweet girl is all about love and beauty, even when the song is about pain and grief! For those who are touched by her melancholy, she is like a medicine!
Angelina’s voice hits deep. Makes you listen closely.
Not enough is said about the fact that her roots are solidly planted
in jazz. With her amazing range and passion, once you add in the
jazz-like quality that great singers like Lana, Adele, and Rhianna just
don't possess. It's like having Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse as
the jazz catalysts that affects Angelina's presentations.
I think this, like many of Angelina's "in home" performances, are examples of her trying new things, testing herself, doing iconic songs and matching the artists note-for-note, while adding her unique flavors and interpretations. She has high standards and sets the bar quite high. Which, like the pro she is, she almost always meets or exceeds. This song has few crazy parts but is relentless and requires great concentration to do well. Angelina demonstrates once again, her master class vocal skills.

can someone explain how she has not completely blown up, all over the radio, and some of these videos I feel should have millions of views and they just don't. JW
Angelina covered LDR songs when she was 12 years old and even though she is now 15 yrs of age ,she still remains protected and shielded from the "fame" that awaits her. She's had the opportunity to grow from adolescence to teenager without adult pressures that comes from the music industry. Also, if it wasn't for Covid cancellations we would have seen more of her performing in concerts that was planned in 2020 and this year.
Angelina's family asked Republic Records to allow Angelina as normal a childhood as possible. Republic has not promoted Angelina's first two singles since signing as Republic's highest priority new artist and my first sentence seems to be the reason why. I have accepted that waiting a couple more years is for the best. Imagine how many original songs Angelina will have completed and ready for release once her family says it is time. I am guessing dozens.

Sadly Angelina's grandfather died in 2018. Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to Jazz at an early age. Mery is a famous Iranian contemporary writer, poet and painter who was also a child prodigy herself being on Radio Iran's Children program at age 4 and began writing poetry and painting by the age of 9. Later Mery was trained in art at the Tokyo Academy in Japan where she met her husband, who was Japanese, during her master degree's training in Japan. The only difference between this young lady and Lana is, Lana sings like she lived it for real. Lana is one of those musicians who focuses on emotion over technique, that way the emotion becomes the technique.

If you have wondered why the ratio of thumbs-up to views is very small, and you are not getting enough comments to fuel your next reactions, that is probably the reason. It's more of a cover of Lana's voice than the song. It sounds just like the original. When you do a cover you should put some of your own spin on it. Might as well just listen to the original.
