At least a quarter of the shops in Bradford are now empty, it's hard to believe it now but Bradford used to be a very rich city due to the textile industry.

I moved to the Highlands of Scotland and when I was in a cafe and I was putting in my order I asked what pop have you got. The lady looked at me thinking what heck did he just ask me, when this little old dear came out of the kitchen and with the most beautiful Yorkshire accent said he's asking about the juice ya plum!

We used to go to Pie Toms for pie and mushy peas. I can’t remember if it was in John Street market, Rawson market or Kirkgate market. Can anyone remember Busbys in Manningham Lane?
