You ought to check out the third Jumping Flash game, "Robbit mon Dieu". A ton of really charming cutscenes with expressive characters utilising a bunch of face textures. Really impressive stuff.
The PS1 has a soul and charm to it with the early 3D models, graphics and backgrounds, gaming will never have this level of soul and charm again, you know what they say, _”Limitations bring about creativity”_
With your well done editing as well as your interesting and witty writing topped with the good audio quality I expected to find a huge backlog of new videos to watch on your channel. Then I realised it’s your first video! Great job. Looking forward for more!
Kingsley's Adventure has pretty good use of sprite face animations as well. Donald Duck Goin Quackers tried some sprite animations too, but the N64 version makes them work fine while the ps1 version is rather messy. Speed Freaks/Punks meanwhile went for sort of Raymanish character designs and they're very expressive.
Dang. It’s such a short tune, but Apple Market is just a slap of nostalgia. I should play Megaman legends again sometime. Fear effect looks like a total gem. Will have to check that one out.
This was a great video! Whether consciously or not, I think I borrowed a lil from Megaman's style facial animations for my vtuber. It's pretty much just png texture swaps of different eyes, then I applied that to a Spider-Man head. Never realized that till this video got me thinking bout it. Great video tho! Subbing now, investing my memestock early! Can't wait to see you blow up
I played Mega Man Legend's 1&2 not to long ago using an emulator on my modern monitor so all the graphics are cleaned up and way sharper ,Just remember on original hardware using A.V. Cords on a CRT TV. with the slightly rounded screens, it was way less detailed which is one reason I love emulating older games and upscaling the graphics.
I love PS1 graphics! It pains me when people say they look bad or didn’t age well, even as a joke. I genuinely think that PS1 games look just as great as they did back then all the way up to now.
I have to give kuddos to your editing. It's pristine, it's fun and it has quite the character -- and it helps that everything else is in great quality. Bravo!

After watching your video as a RUclips recommendation I quickly went to your channel to start the next one to play (I put some RUclips videos to play I'm the background while I'm fixing a water leak in my house at 12:00 AM). To my surprise there was only one. It's pretty great for a first video. Keep going. 👍🏽
I've always been interested in the Fear Effect series just by the visual style alone (also because a RUclips channel I used to watch a couple of years ago talked about it in a video about PlayStation 1 games). Might give it a go one of these days (also fanservice is no problem for me so it won't detract from the experience, lol)
You should definitely give it a go, honestly the gameplay isn't that great but it's worth it for the story and characters (visual style is top notch), and I don't care much for fanservice either, but the scene cited in the video in particular was a little too much hahaha
What's wild is I think Mega Man Legends is actually the first 3D action-adventure game and it is one of if not the best looking 3D action-adventure game on the PS1 and maybe even N64. It predated Ocarina of Time which is what I see most people claim is the first 3D AA, but MML had already set the bar really high for 3D AA games. You'd think it copied Zelda, not the other way around.
I actually had a prior channel but the videos were in my native language (brazillian portuguese) and i didn't manage to find an audience so i created this new channel in english, and with the response that Im getting here, I guess its working. Thanks for the sub! :)
