The Metropolitan Opera has announced the cinema release of a ‘documentary’ it has funded on the life of its music director, Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The term ‘documentary’ usually confers balance and objectivity.
The objective here is flattery and extravagance. ‘Seems to spread joy wherever he goes’. Peter Gelb is so full of himself.
