Nominal Cal Fire involvement on this fire at this time. Primarily US Forest Service & Los Angeles County Fire Department.
What a shame, those hills are going to be scarred for centuries.
You think by now they would have piping or something in strategic areas.
Not really. There are some pine trees that actually need fire to germinate their seeds. A lot of these big fires could be prevented by cutting firebreaks and by clearing out the dead growth. The tree huggers have stopped such activity because they want to "save" the natural environment. You can see the result.
