  • Homemade Pickled Garlic
    If you're struggling to find pickled garlic in stores to try out the viral spicy pickled garlic trend, then this is for you. It does take three weeks to pickle but it's worth it! Try it out and let me know what you think!
    Blue garlic: If your garlic turns and blue or green color, no worries. It is still safe to eat.
    Ingredients:
    - white vinegar
    - kosher salt
    - garlic
    - optional: chili flakes, thyme, dill, etc.

    Make sure you get the canning vinegar that's in the canning section because the other vendor girls are only five percent you need more than 5% vinegar with acid in it

    After you poor in the vinegar shouldn’t you leave the lid off to let it get room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator?

      No you need the heat to seal the jar, once the jar lid pops down you leave it on the counter to come to room temperature then you put the jar in a cool and dark place

      Let it sit for at least three weeks

      Please only pickle if you know how to, anaerobic bacteria like botulinum can be inside your food and can kill you, there’s a 100 percent death rate so I wouldn’t risk it

    Do you know why does garlic turn blue during picle process ? I hate the colour, it doesn't look natural.

      Im pretty sure its a reaction with the acid from the vinegar
