I love watching this anytime! Brings me back to a certain time in my life when all I lived for was music! Elton John was at the center of my life. David Bowie, Mott the Hoople, Badfinger and alot of other artists were constantly on my turntable! This is the official release of from Elton John's Management team that coinsided with the 40th Anniversary of the album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. I have my own copy from Canada that is 22 minutes longer. When I first saw this 1973 Bryan Forbes film on late night TV, I remember waking up my brother to watch it together. It's nice that Elton John and his team took the time to find a new print to release on DVD. The only problem I have is that is only half of the original length of the video. When I watched it with my brother, it was an hour & 28 minutes. The Canadian version I have is 1 hour and 7 minutes. Certainly if I can come up with a version of this fantastic documentary that's 22 minutes longer than the re-release of the official film.... Elton John's management could come up with the entire program for the fans! Never the less, this is a really fun documentary to watch! Makes you realize how fantastic Elton John and Bernie Taupin are as songwriters! With Davey Johnstone, Dee Murray and Nigel Olsson as his superb band and Gus Dudgeon at boards producing, Elton John couldn't miss!

This is the documentary "Elton John and Bernie Taupin Say Goodbye Norma Jean And Other Things"; originally broadcast on american tv on ABC, back in 1973. Directed and narrated by noted film maker Bryan Forbes, it catches Elton right at the beginning of his great 70's peak. I want to think it was done in support of the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album. This appears to be the cleanest copy out there on youtube and I thank CEO of Empty Sky Rights Inc for releasing it. This Bryan Forbes masterpiece deserves to be remastered and re-released on DVD for all fans of Elton, everywhere. Those great years of the 70's were truly special and magical, weren't they?

11:31 his singing of "Rocket Man" is absolutely gorgeous, too bad the tape quality isn't pristine. Amazing footage.

If my cat hears the song starting...Blue Jean Baby,,,' she rushes in and sits at my laptop and touches the screen. She absolutely loves that song.

Jozy Pollock 'featured', LOL guess that little bit part is featured, no name on credit, you'd never know that's who it was without her telling it somewhere else LOL.
