I had the Pleasure of meeting Denny in 2017 when he was touring and made his stop in Atlanta (GA). He was Incredibly Nice and Generous and Very Appreciative of his Fans. Denny was Very Personable and a joy to talk with. He signed ALL the Albums and Memorabilia I brought to his Concert (THANKS, Denny !)....Oh, and the Concert was REALLY Good ! I enjoyed his backing band "The Cryers"....SO, SO Sad to hear of Denny's passing....You Will be SORELY Missed, Denny. Prayers and Condolences to his Wife, Family, and Friends & Acquaintances.

I was fortunate to see the Wings Over America tour in September of 1976 at the Forum in L.A. While of course Paul McCartney was the main attraction, it was obvious Denny Laine was an integral part of Wings, and it was certainly no letdown when took the spotlight on Go Now and Time to Hide. One of the greatest concerts I've had the privilege to witness. RiP Denny.

It was more than 2 hours of glorious rock'n'roll that I will never forget and the band that Paul put together - including Denny Laine, Jimmy McCullough, drummer Joe English,
and an excellent horn section was first rate. Even Linda McCartney got a lot of love from the audience. It was magic.

Denny Laine was such an integral and important member of Wings. I always loved his vocals and his style. As a kid, when I got old enough to buy my own records, London Town was one of the first albums I ever bought, and the song "Deliver Your Children", written and sung by Denny is my favourite song on the album. It's also the one song by Wings that lives rent-free in my head on a weekly basis, and I often sing the song to myself when no one else can hear.
Rest in peace, Denny Laine. You were great and will be missed.

A sad day today with the news of Denny Laine's passing. I saw him many years ago when he played a gig with his band in my hometown here in the UK. A tremendous Musician/Songwriter and of course throughout the seventies he was Paul McCartney's "Wing Man" if you'll pardon the pun. He, Linda and Paul remained the nucleus of the band as others came and went. His passing comes only 24 hours since we got the news of 50th anniversary releases for Band On The Run in Feb next year, and of course he played guitar and sang back up on George Harrison's tribute to John, "All Those Years Ago" alongside Paul and Linda. My condolences to his wife and family at this time. God bless you and thank you so much for your music Denny, we're gonna miss you. I'm off to find my copy of Japanese Tears and give it a spin........

I received Wild Life (and Sometime In New York City) as a young maybe 9 or 10 year old for Christmas back when they were new-ish. I've known his name all of these years. He stuck with Paul for a decade or so, and what a decade it was. I bet it wasn't always an easy ride. Love his vocals and everything he did. Blew my mind seeing him whip out the harmonica on WOA. Deliver Your Children and Mull of Kintyre are among his many highlights. I dig Mumbo too!

Great tribute to Denny, and thank you for pointing out his great work with Paul McCartney and Wings, but I would also strongly recommend Denny’s lone album with The Moody Blues, “The Magnificent Moodies,” which includes the big hit “Go Now.” Denny’s awesome singing, songwriting, guitar and harmonica playing are all over that album, and the music on the album is just plain fun, half original material and half cover songs, played to pop and r&b perfection by the original version of The Moody Blues, prior to “Days Of Future Passed.” Wonderful album. RIP Denny Laine. 💙

RIP Denny Laine. What a legend.
(Also Pete, I noticed your right thumb seemed to be bruised. I hope it’s alright)

Sad news about Denny Laine, he will be missed. But he didn't actually write 'Go Now', The Moody Blues did a cover of the original by Bessie Banks.

I guess it's that old trope of 'in threes'. First Geordie from Killing Joke last weekend (why no tribute Pete?), then Myles from April Wine, and now Denny from Wings. Sad times for us older guys...

Never a fan of Killing Joke, don’t know a thing about him.

Go see your rock heroes now. We're losing them at an alarming rate.

RIP, Denny. His wife had to set up a Go Fund Me page to help pay for his medical.expenses. I wonder if his 'good friend' McCartney ever reached out to help.
