The carvings are on top of other carvings, the original stone art is something we are studying here in North America. There are several similarities between what is in the basement in Edinburgh Museum and what we find here at the pyramid mounds of the Mississippian peoples.

The double disc looks like a double ended crescent wretch to me . All joking aside they seem like a creative as well as industrious culture, not unlike other IE societies. They definitely had their own style, which I really like. It’s probably solar, moon and wheel symbolism. I really like how some of these ancient cultures seemed to have thought of innovation, the natural world and Gods / deities, or God as one. We need more of that in our modern world.
Thank you for the video, I always enjoy your work.

Extremely interesting, just simply didn't know of nor anything about this. Old Ogham stones in West Wales is nothing like this. Amazing.

Some of the hypotheses about the meanings of the symbols, just show how much guesswork is going on in the corridors of academia! The chances of understanding the Picts, without their own written historical documents, seems inlikely😢 But it's a fascinating enigma!😊

I’m working on a theory that the animals represent a clan the intersected symbols represent a time of birth and/or a temporal philosophy and the man made symbols (combs, tools and whatnot) represent the trade or personal moniker of the person.

Zed rod and double disc intuitively I thought of the sun and moon for the double disc and the passing of time for the zed rod. Intuitively thought that.

I have the double disc/Z-rod as a blue ink tattoo on my upper left arm. It was my first tattoo.

The panel above the battle scene on stone 2 simply says in picture symbolism what happened at the battle.
The enemy did not destroy us,
followed by at a certain time

Stone 2 is quite simply a Rosetta Stone that’s been in full view of everyone but nobody is had the sense to make the assumption that the Top panel and the battle scene say exactly the same thing

Would these symbols be found in Asyria?
I thought i saw similar symbols in another historical vid from that area?

Someday, I hope we'll find a 'Rosetta Stone' for Pictish symbols, with old Erse on one side and Pictish symbols on the other. There was such an interplay between Gael and Pict, or even Pict and Briton that something, even an early manuscript, must turn up ... eventually. Until then 'the Wee Dark Men (and women)' will seem almost myth like, despite all the physical evidence we have for their culture.
Maybe even the Romans may come to our rescue on this one.

Have wondered if the circles with the Z line could possibly represent a Z pinch.......sort of looks like one.....

I think the double disc and Z rod are some kind of tools. What they could be, I don't know. I'm just thinking of how the hammer and sickle was used to identify the Soviets. Maybe they were just common place items to the Picts that we don't understand now. Maybe the Z rod is some kind of Boomerang thing

I like ur viedos brother ,very well researched. But hate seeing what's called the celtic cross .conversion point in history wich unfortunately at that time was forced .like the stone of harold the blue tooths forced conversion..of his own ppl written in danish runes ...the end of a time .and the destruction of so much of a people's identity and culture .
