Since getting SB’ are getting hard to get most go to bum resellers, New balance is the move. The numeric shoes are insane, they are better quality insanely comfortable and you can always find some on sale. Sorry Nike but New balance gonna take over sooner or later 🙏

I think in your argument you might have defeated your point. haha if you can always find new balance on sale then nike is doing better than they are. things go on sale when they have out lived their shelf life because demand is lower. but!!! I think youre right as far as quality. new balance makes an incredible shoe.
Switched to Numeric as soon as they dropped. Have worn skate shoes since early 90s even though I BMX & DH longboard. I love New Balance. I’d pay more for limited made in USA NUMERIC. Pass it on.

i am a bit of a sneaker head outside of skating myself but I only gravitated towards new balance silhouettes like 990s 992s 2002r etc and never could get into the Jordan/Nike stuff. Nike just feels garbage in my opinion so it made me kinda happy to find out that the logo surrounded by all this hype that seems to escape me is actually based on a photo of the MJ wearing my favorite brand
I like the fact they look small they don’t look like a size 11 so it’s a plus for me along with the price point. Do they fly off shelves like the dunks?
they are roomier than a dunk. new balance denotes their shoes by the numbering system so the higher the number the higher the tech and typically higher the comfort. so I would say the 480 feels more open because it has less features. its also less cushy under foot because the tiago has every bell and whistle you can put in the sole. Its not uncomfortable by any means but it just feels like a more classic shoe similar to a non-sb jordan 1 or a superstar by adidas. something like that? but with new balance you can typically associate more comfort and padding with the higher number. tiago 1010 is more tech than a 480 etc
he is still pulling shoes out of the archive and seeing what he likes. itll be something tech like a tiago (im assuming) because he says he needs the support to keep him skating. I wish this was something I learned earlier on.... just wear shoes with lots of shock absorption because hot damn your joints are important. that said ive been wearing fast breaks haha so thin.
@@DavidBluetile im still Young 😂 I can still wear thin vulcs.. the emerica low vulc is the old Reynolds pro shoe…I still like to skate it. The 1010 is just too much shoe.. the 808 could possibly be one of my next shoes, speaking about new balance. Just take some ice baths and eat fruits 🍎

If I had to put money on it I would say it would be very tech heavy with a lot of impact support. I could be wrong but I know he’s looking for more protection for his feet and has been skating the 1010 a lot. I honestly think Emerica needs a refresh: they make the same damn shoe over and over with a different name on it. I know they’re trying to freshen it up lately
He will have a colorway in this shoe. He’s she def won’t be like his Emerica shoe but I think he’ll have a model in like 2025? He’s still product testing and stuff so no telling how long it’ll be.

After a while if that’s the only way shoes sell a brand isn’t able to pay riders. Reynolds just had to go where he could get a paycheck I’m sure. But also I think the move to new balance is partially because he’s getting older and just needs the support that a new balance shoe offers. Not that vans and Emerica can’t offer that but new balance just excels at it. Like the “I only buy skater owned” mantra is screamed most loudly by the people who only buy clearance shoes. Eventually skate shoe brands aren’t going to be able to pay any pros. You can us eS as a reference. People are mad they don’t have pro shoes but…. None of their damn customers buy their shoes for full price. Haha it’s crazy
clearly a cupsole. vulc is literally a flat piece of rubber sole "taped" onto the shoe with a rubber tape and then heat molded on to the shoe. so think converse chuck taylor... or vans old skool as examples of vulc shoes.

Something about newbalance shoes is so classy and delicious. If they don’t do fun unique things with this shoe and make it like Nike sb, well then that’s a huge miss

Yeah some people aren’t into big branding. I think a lot of brands go too far the other way with a generic black vulc unbranded shoe that looks like anything and everything. I dig the chunky branding on these personally but I def feel you if you’re not into it

No, it is not the Reynolds pro. He will have a color way of this shoe. His pro model shoe likely will not be until 2025.

It’s wider for me. Tiago I have to go up a half size but this is nice… feet are so damn different so take that for what it is.
