the reality of lost phone apps is so sad, with most "lost" media there's still a chance of a physical copy found in some basement, attic, storage unit or closet surfacing but how does one rediscover a lost item that only existed in an ephemeral digital marketplace on devices that are the epitome of planned obsolecense? tragic.
Fun fact...that was david nears impression of the slappy doll from goosebumps on that call blaze and the monster machines app...im guessing some sick person got the audio from one of david nears videos and added it to the app
You forgot about flappybird as well as this one autotune app that was out back in late 2009 to early 2012. Basically the latter was an app where you rap, sing or talk and it'll autotune it over a beat. It was promoted on an older annoying orange video from early 2010.
Imma a put in a honorable mention of sorts. There used to be this game made by Halfbrick Studios (the guys behind jetpack joyride, fruit ninja, etc,) called Band Stars. Where you make music and you had to pu together the right pieces and genre to make a #1 hit. It was my favorite game 2015 but sadly I broke my kindle that I played it on and wasn't able to play it anymore. I tried to search it up a couple years ago but I couldn't find it. Turns out they took it out for unknown reasons iirc sometime in 2016-18.
Zoobe was actually used for memes quite a few times among Russian users, most prominently Papa Smurf saying that there isn't going to be a New Year because Father Frost (The Russian Santa Claus) has converted to Islam (nothing offensive, just a silly joke)
i always have this vivid memory from 2007 about this one app that was controversial called "baby shaker" where you.... shake babies. seemed to be a small controversy though because the app was quickly taken down and never talked about again. there is one video of the report i've seen but that's about it. not sure why this random app controversy still comes to my mind at times
Hearing you mention Jurassic Park Builder brought back a wave of nostalgia. I remember spending hours playing it on my Kindle Fire and begging my dad to buy me some of the stupid micro transactions so I could make my park better.
Damn, I actually HAVE Interactive Buddy 2 on an ancient iPad, one of the few paid apps I bothered getting back in the day, had no idea it was lost. Sadly I stopped using the iPad because it slowed down to such terrible performance over the years that getting past the lock screen after boot sometimes took up to 30 minutes. My iPad was never jailbroken or anything like that, so while I'd love to preserve this media, I think it's trapped on there for now.
Speaking of the Ludia company, they also removed another app which was also part of my childhood known as Planet Fish. That game just had such a unique mechanic and I still miss it to this day
You just awaken memories I forgot I had. I remember loving the meat or die shorts because it felt like I was watching something I shouldn’t have been. Kinda wish they had made the game
I was a huge fan of the Future is Wild doc but I had no idea there was a mobile game about it. Especially since it was supposed to come out in 2015, years later from other media and 13 years after the original doc aired. Jurassic Park builder is so nostalgic to me. It was the only Jurassic park game at the time since it had been years since a new game was made for the franchise. Really cool that people are bringing it back from the dead!
I use to use Zoobe All the time back in 2015 and were really hilarious. Even one of ny twin sister’s videos I semi collaborated from the same year with has a short clip of Slimer from Ghostbusters, recorded from Zoobe.
Does anyone remember kawaii pet megu? It was a kawaii type game and you raise a little pet. When you charge your phone and play it would cause the pet to evolve! I used to play it so much, and it randomly went offline one day and never heard about it again. Even had merch and stuff.
I remember a game called “Pocket Fish” where you’d play around with a handful of male-female pairs of fish. I loved playing it when I was younger, shame it’s no longer avaliable.
I vividly remember this game where you played as a penguin and you have to run from a polar bear I also remember a bunch of cat clan games that I used to play when I was in my warriors phase
(Technically Kick the buddy is a ripoff of IB) We also got Line Cookie Run and Cookie Run War,with Line now only being available in Korea, and CRW kinda just...failing,next we got a few Dr Panda games, specifically candy factory,Ice cream truck, and of course restaurant China
yoo cookie wars! I used to play that game. I heard that the second company that worked on it mightve gotten bankrupt, and so that's why they shut it down.
Me and my friend downloaded a "CALL LUIGI" app as a joke but when we played it luigi kept asking us for our address and full names and credit cards (no joke)
i remember this one game when I was 3-4 y/o from 2010-2012 (it could've been older but that's when i played it) about those blue scrubbing bubble thingys. It was kinda similar to the sense of talking tom as in, you push a button and it does stuff, but thats it. More sandbox-ish. I tried to look it up but couldn't find a single thing about it, one of my favorite games as a little kid
I remember the App Store having Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. It was up until Disney bought Marvel. I still have it on an old iphone, but it’s sadly forever dead due to the charger port no longer working
There was this game I loved to play on my iPod back in the day. It was called something along the lines of Zombie Parkour or Zombie Park out I'm not sure. It disappeared from the Appstore maybe around 2014. It had a really fun mechanics and there was hidden lore hinting to a sequel. I'm not sure what happened to it or the devs :(
i actually had jurassic park builder on my phone up until it just wiped itself off my phone, i couldn't open it or anything but i had it until the last day ;(
Damn i remember seeing the advertisement for interactive buddy 2 in the interactive buddy 1 as a kid I really wanted the sequel back then but i didnt have an iphone lol Also i wonder if shock value has relations with the kick the buddy/buddyman kick series thats still alive today
I vaguely remember this addicting game about collecting different ninjas and fusing them together. Now that I think of it they where most likely copying Zombie Farm on ios
a game i really liked that mysteriously got taken down from the app stores is robot unicorn attack, or at least maybe there's a nation barrier or smth like that? i looked around and it doesn't seem to be that. too bad, i really loved that game
holy shit, I didn’t know that game existed but I once played it on my school Chromebook and now I remember it because i searched it up. I’m sure you can find an emulator of it
Just because The game of call blaze and the monster trucks app is no longer there doesn't mean that it is taken down from the app store actually some one in there youtube channel has the app and the link in their description
Does anyone remember Battle Monkeys? It was this awesome app you could get on computers and phones where 4 monkeys would be placed on a board, and each plate of the board does something that can help you attack the other monkeys, your goal was too kill all the other Monkey's until you're the last one standing
I remember Qubi and the Ads for it but I remember something when I was younger. (There was a game that let’s you play as a male/female astronaut who saves people from flooding by a evil fish king and the ways of getting these peoples is by using blocks kinda like Minecraft since you can build houses and other structures. Anyways the survivors are the goal to make sure they are safe in space away from the flooding planet.) Idk why it was brought up but I was wondering what the name of the game was called.
I know a lost game that its no longer in play store, the games name was cook it free and there is no info of this game , except few photos of it and a apk download site that looks like malware.
I have multiple apps that are lost to time on my iPod, and my purchased section. I’m figuring out how to rip those IPAS but I have to code them and decrypt. It’s extremely hard to. I’m looking for someone to help

I remember this one game called Hellfire (I think) that my sister was good at, she was on like the top 10 of the leaderboard. First time I got a phone I downloaded it immediately but it was shut down a few months later.
lmao rip periscope, kpop fans would use it to stream concerts in korea, i was able to watch my favourite's group last concert before they had to do military.

What
this is a very true point and not at all hard to understand lol. i don’t know why people are joshing you for it
Fortunately Android can side load
you used a lot of unnecessarily elegant words for that
Fun fact...that was david nears impression of the slappy doll from goosebumps on that call blaze and the monster machines app...im guessing some sick person got the audio from one of david nears videos and added it to the app
Are you sure it wasnt Mr Betty Kruegers voice? it sounds alot more like him and I cant find David Nears video
I remember watching David Near's videos when I was younger. I'mma check out his channel again and see what's there
@@SladeCarnvival im not sure. Its been a while since i watched david near or mr betty krugger
i was about to say, for a prank that shit is p well acted lmao
Yeah, as a big Goosebumps fan I knew I recognised the audio but that it wasn't official

Flappybird isn't lost though. You can find it easily online still.
Wasn't that AutoRap by Smule? My siblings and I used to mess around with it all the time in the early 2010s
Smule app or whatever. It had double rainbow as one of the songs. Good times
@@oddlygreenly no I think it was called iautotune or something
@@lightyagami3492 I havent seen it since like 2015 so I assumed it was still lost

There was another halfbrick studio game about some fish in the ocean where you try to jump over the ocean or something like that
NO WAY MAN I WONDERED WHERE THAT WENT
Zoobe was actually used for memes quite a few times among Russian users, most prominently Papa Smurf saying that there isn't going to be a New Year because Father Frost (The Russian Santa Claus) has converted to Islam (nothing offensive, just a silly joke)
God I love that meme.
I sucks that even if you have to app you can play it because of it lacking servers
My favorite still is the PAC Man? More like Packing an AK-47 into my lunch box to shoot up the f-kin school
Hey there everybody it’s me ryu from streets
Idk why they deleted It, it was so iconic they needed to let zoobe back

A Square Enix Pokémon game? A mainline game developed by them would be awesome.
After some of their recent games, it would be on par with too many micro transactions, or bad
I was today years old when I learned that Toca Boca is Swedish instead of Japanese
Hearing you mention Jurassic Park Builder brought back a wave of nostalgia. I remember spending hours playing it on my Kindle Fire and begging my dad to buy me some of the stupid micro transactions so I could make my park better.
Me too and I understand I had always played it but then it sadly shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic
Someone is remaking the Game with leftover Game Files
